  • Foresight Leagues/Tournaments

    Hi

I'm looking to play some leagues/tournaments but there seems to be a very limited number of leagues on the FSX website. The ones I can see, are course that I dont own (but I own 20!)

Are there more general public leagues available that I can join with a variety of courses? Perhaps ones not necessarily advertised on the FSX website, but ran independently?

    Any advice - appreciated.

I would definitely be interested in something like this. I will follow this thread and see if there is enough interest to get something set up. I don't mind spending some time with the organization of it. I run a 24 man IRL golf league so would be within my skill set to help with this. Before getting into any specifics I would say that there would have to be a handicap element to it which brings one significant question into mind. Has foresight fixed the issues with scorecards and accurate handicap application... meaning does the Foresight scorecards accurate calculate NET scores?

I’m pretty sure they do calculate the correct score with the handicap. I play matches with guys at my house and so far it’s seems to work. I guarantee this is a course by course thing though and I’m not totally sure if they have the holes handicapped correctly.

I think you have to update your handicap in FSX Live, then it shows up on your scorecard with dots for the holes that you get a stroke on. I know this works for sure, at least on the courses that I've played.

Happy to work with you on a dummy tournament to experiment - if you wanted to create one on a course we both have access to and see how it works?

Sounds good. Do you want to reply to this with the list of your courses and I will compare that list to mine?

I just tried to set up a dummy tournament in FSXPLAY but could not figure out how to take the in online. I didn’t see the option for online play so it would only create a local tournament. I see there is a 9 hole tournament posted already and it seems to work pretty well. Not sure how you would stop people from entering twice because it actually allowed me to sign in twice. That’s obviously unfair for the guys that can’t spend all day trying to better their score.

It definitely works on 2020. I play with a buddy all the time. Have not been able to figure it out on Play.

You do NOT have to own the course to play it during a League. It DOES have to be downloaded and installed though.

I'd take a shot at it also if you get something to work.

Oh really? Is this the case on both FSX Play and 2020? I saw some ones in Abu Dhabi but when I looked it just said buy them. Do you go to the website or do it through the application?

Hey all. Would 100% be available and up for joining a foresight sim league too. Have had it for a year now and the lack of leagues is the only downfall. If this materializes I’m in.

I'm interested in a FSX2020 league as well. I have participated in some of the FSX leagues before (along with my son) and they seem to work well.
Anyone willing to set up a 1 course/event league as a test run?

So I open FSX 2020 on my computer, go to compete, go to join a league, type in the join code of christmas and I get a no-league found message
