GC2 static electricity drops usb connection

Hi all - I did a search and do not find an answer so here goes - using my GC2 sometimes I get a static electricity pop when I touch my computer case which triggers a disconnect of the gc2 usb connection. All my grounds look good and the humidity , while low, doesn’t seem that bad - but it is static electricity.

    thoughts? Ideas?

    thanks for any comments

Hoping to switch from Skytrak to my gc2. how did you set up your gc2? I know I need gsx put can't find the download for gswebsetup.exe.

For static you might try and get a static pad, I use to use one under my pc.

I see Amazon has a static pad for $20. Humidity also could reduce.

Thanks for the suggestion - my room is not showing super lo humidity (a transformed small garage) but I might try humidifying the space. The pad is an interesting option - thank you. I’ve got a wall mounted keyboard tray coming and a wireless keyboard and mouse so I’m going that I can just eliminate any physical contact with anything that is computer and metal while isi g the gc2. I just wasn’t sure if there was any normal change I could make that deals with static more gracefully.
