New to posting here. FSX Pro mega update

Hi friends -

I’ve been a lurker here for a while as I built my sim since Dec 21. I generally watch these forums for software update notifications.

Well, I haven’t seen this one so just an fyi, FSX Pro has a completely revamped interface and several new features. I don’t know what version this happened on, but I just installed 2.2.0 and WOW. I was completely surprised. I don’t remember what version I had, but this is a big overhaul. (Maybe this has been posted back in January but it was new to me yesterday).

It works very similarly, but has some gui updates that bring it more in line with FSX Play than 2020. Need to explore more and there are multiple variations for exporting data that I need to review, too. I use Pro for practice, testing, and tracking way more than the FSX ranges.

I like it as well and use it more now than I ever have. I can't get it to work on two screens tho. Anyone had luck with this?

Had no problems with two screens and didn’t have to make any adjustments.

Have you checked your settings to see if the displays shuffled?

I use FSX Pro extensively. However this current version has issues and I have downgraded back to 1.6. The issues with the current version for me include:
- you cannot have the mouse activate links on one of the screens when you are in dual monitor mode. Others have noted the same I believe.
- the ball flight is delayed for a few seconds after I hit the ball. Version 1.6 is instant

i would like to utilize the improved features but these issues make it a non starter for me. So I am stuck in version 1.6 until they get these issues sorted. I have reported issues to Foresight but they haven’t yet acknowledged or responded to these issues.

I can confirm the ball flight issue was present on my machine. Thought it was a glitch and restart was ok but it eventually does that choppiness during the first portion of the ball flight.

I am also interested in running the prior version until I fully understand the new software as I’ve made extensive dashboards that rely on FSX Pro excel traditional export formats. Now, with target being more front and center, as it should be, the csv files are slightly diff and now have diff variations for export, too.

Golfcrzy - any interest in sharing your power BI dashboards? I'm just getting started with my GC3 and that sounds like exactly the sort of think I'd want to build out!

If you send me an export of a CSV from FSX Pro and your GC3, I can see if my dashboards will accept the format. If it doesn’t I’d have to script something like I did for the GCQ bc it spits out useless string results instead of numbers. If it works, I can share some of it.

I don’t really want to share the actual pbix yet, as I’m considering if it is marketable or just for my own hobby.

Anyone have an issue after installing 2.3.0 for fsx pro that club data is no longer working (gchawk)?

just downloaded the new version today but so far it works for me with a GCQ

Had to go into fsx play and enable club mode then go back in pro and it works.

also has it stopped saving credentials for you all and you have to log in each time?

yes and no. the delay from hitting the shot to having it displayed has been reduced and is much better - not perfect but better. But the ball flight issues when the ball lands on the range is squirrely and looks weird. I tried it for a few days and then downgraded again back to v 1.5.6.

How can FSX Pro be so bad at this point? There's a delay after impact, the ball flight is slow and jittery, and when the ball hits the ground it shakes all over and doesn't react realistically. It's pretty much unusable. The way I see it is the only worthwhile range is FSX2020?

Not quite sure what you are referring to. I have been using FSX Pro a lot in the last several days and it has worked perfectly for me. I have not seen any if what you mention for whatever that is worth.
