    FSX Play Refund

When is it time?? Enough is enough already. Every other week I am calling tech support to resolve an issue. Here lately it gets stuck on “getting courses” and then I am out of commission for a few days until tech support can remote into my computer and fix the issue. Don’t get me wrong, the tech support is great, but we shouldn’t have to be contacting them every week! I am beyond frustrated. At this point it’s a 50/50 shot on if I am able to complete a round of golf.

Honestly might be computer issue on your part? I have almost zero issues running Play, aside from slow loading time at launch but I suspect that is the auto course update issue?

New computer, only used for SIM golf. FSX2020 works just fine.

It is kind of terrible that the product is still this bad. I just play FSX 2020 all the time hoping Play will eventually get sorted.

Back up and running after a 2 hour call with tech support. Fingers crossed this time.

What did they do to resolve the problem?

I agree on computer comment. Just cause it's new doesn't mean it doesn't have problems or isn't right. Or maybe your installation isn't right, or how you have ram or graphics set up or which drive the program is on...so many variable other than just "new computer"

While I do agree that the program is not on the level it should be, it runs without any issues on my computer. I do have plenty of complaints about it, but I have no problem having friends over and playing a round. It works.

And here we go again… another weekend lost. Another call into tech support when they open in the morning. Any ideas on what might be causing my recurring issues??!

They seem to think it’s due to weak internet signal…

Is your PC hard wired to your router? Might want to give that a try if it isn't. I agree with Baller, the program has issues (many) but I am consistently able to run it. I'd also look at your case cooling fans & GPU fan speeds. Video card utilization goes from 1% to 99% as soon as I start FSX Play. Is it possible your system is locking up because of a heat issue? Try running this program: https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmo...nitor_1.50.exe and watch your GPU temps, anything above 75° on the GPU is not good. If you've got heat issues install this program: https://getfancontrol.com/ it will help you adjust fan speeds when things heat up.

Thanks for the feedback! My simulator room is in a shop a few hundred feet away from my home. I ran internet to the shop via a Powerline adapter. Foresight says the software pings the server during the initial load, so an unstable internet connection may be the culprit. FSX2020 works fine as it has an offline mode, which I’m told will come at a some point for FSXPlay as well. I will take a look at the potential heat isssue.

I wouldn't worry about heat........." via a Powerline adapter"....... That's your issue. Take your PC into your home and try it there. Powerline adapters have terrible connectivity issues.
