Updated courses

There really is no excuse for not having all of the courses updated. That being said, I wonder if they are having the same issue with some courses like they had with Merion. Apparently, Merion didn’t allow Foresight to use their course, that is why it was removed. If you had Merion, contact your rep to give you another course. Maybe this is happening to some of the courses that I have, Kingsbarn, Olympic, Royal Birkdale, Schaumburg and Warwickshire. You may have others. If that is the case, we should be notified. Unfortunately, that is highly unlikely.

Is this for Play or FSX 2020? I have Merion and Olympic. I know I played some holes on both fairly recently.

FSX Play. I had Merion but it was taken down. I can’t see Olympic on the Play list of Purchased Courses.

I have not upgraded to Play yet. Let me know if they give you courses in place of these. If so, I can do the same when I upgrade. Thanks.

Thank you delaloi. Unfortunately, I've looked everywhere and still don't see it. Could it be under a different name, i.e. La Jolla Pines for Torrey Pines?

I have Merion on FSX2020 but cannot see it avail on Play either for some reason.

Everyone should contact your rep at Foresight and ask for an exchange for another course at an equal value to replace Merion They did that for me.

Just noticed they added Crosswater, Glencairn and Glen Abbey as FSX Play courses.

Thanks for the heads up, got Crosswater. That is the first new one I have seen up (of my collection) since March.

I also see Merion is not on the list. I had installed it before and it has not been taken off my PC. Still missing many of my favorites.

Just thought I might Bump this thread to keep up the discussion. ForesightMattyG ForesightSports (not sure which one actually gets traction). I am still missing the following courses from my purchased library. Curious if someone might provide an update as to when we can expect them to be updated or like Merion, will they not be?

Hello jasonreg - These are all scheduled to be completed by end of the year, some sooner than later. These can change based on a number of factors, such as priority or course agreement changes.

I sent an email regarding a coupe I'm missing as well. I was told Castle Stuart would not be coming to play.....just fyi. I was told cabot was not interested in letting them have that updated license and that I should reach out to them (Cabot) directly regarding this. Interesting since they've got cabot cliffs and links though.

If you do not see them listed under your account info on the FSX LIVE page, then you should contact orderfulfillment@foresightsports.com and request they review your active sales order to fulfill. Be sure to provide a Sales Order number as reference when contacting them.

ForesightMattyG - thanks for the quick reply. Just to be clear, the courses I listed above were purchased for FSX2020 and are on my system. For whatever reason, they are not yet available as FSX Play courses hence my question. Specifically I am also curious if - like Merion - some decision has been made not to update the course and/or remove it from circulation.

I saw they've finally added Kingsbarns to Play..... I imagine there are a few others that came over as well. Think castle stuart may be the only one I have left that hasnt been brought over and IM told thats never gonna happen due to licensing.

Good to have Kingsbarns finally up. That was actually not a good course on FSX2020 - long grass in front of teeboxes blocked views and created many blind tee shots. Hopefully better on Play.

The Cabot situation, and the situation with Play courses generally, is a real bummer though. Foresight affirmatively took down Merion - it is no longer on my Play installation. Are they now going to take down Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links? People have quite recently paid for those, as premium courses. The same people own Castle Stuart as well so no doubt that one will never come. Are Pebble and St Andrews next? Courses are acquired with a Permanent License under the End User License Agreement (EULA) | Foresight Sports. They can't just take away courses people have bought.

Sending in a support ticket to see what they say; I'm fed up with this.

They gave me a course credit for Merion, if others drop off I’d expect the same..I need to check any others that haven’t transferred over yet. Also you had to request it, foresight isn’t going to look for us and suggest this option..
