I can use Play or SC but not Play and SC. Is there a way/setting to use them together ???? I can't seem to get my GC2 recognized by both at the same time.

Swing Catalyst & Play running together

Hmm. Not sure if that’s a GC2 thing? I use the quad and I regularly use FSX play and Swing Catalyst at the same time. Typically, I will set up FSX play, and then start Swing Catalyst and set it up separately. When I do this, I use all three monitors, the main monitor or my impact screen for FSX play, swing catalyst on the monitor that’s mounted across from me, and the FSX play secondary screen to the rear near my computer.
I have never had a problem using all of the same time. I do connect via USB, not sure if that helps or is part of the issue.

StanMI - I have been really paying attention lately to the resource requirements for FSX Play (and GSPro as well). I posted the following in another thread (forgive the repost):
I have been paying attention to the resource requirements for each game I have been playing using the task manager performance tab. Harbour Town was pulling 43% RAM (29 of 64GB avail), CPU running at 80'ish% of avail VRAM (12-13 of 16GB avail on an RTX4080. CPU (i9-9900K) was sitting at around 15%. FSX Play was the only program running.
I do know that Swing Catalyst adds additional resource requirements and can be set up a few different ways. I elected to use GPU hardware encoding, but you can also use CPU encoding. It really depends on the specs of your system but there is a utility which will help you decide which to use. See How to use the new Swing Catalyst hardware encoding – Swing Catalyst - Help Center I also found the following note in the setup guide (I use the Imaging Source drivers but make sure you are using the correct drovers for your cameras).
"Note: We recommend making sure FSX and Swing Catalyst is not running before performing any camera related driver installation. Once the drivers are installed you may need to restart your computer."
Also, the Swing Catalyst website is a bit of a mishmash - it seems they have different links to various help articles on different pages so you need to root around a bit but here are a couple of other helpful ones if you missed them.Getting Started - Home Edition – Swing Catalyst - Help Center
Recommended computer specifications – Swing Catalyst - Help Center
It is really interesting that the recommended computer specs are much higher on the swing Catalyst site then they are on the FSX Play site. If you do go the trouble ticket, I found the help from Swing Catalyst much more responsive than that from Foresight and really they are the experts wrt integrating the two programs.
Good Luck!
