  • Questions about owning a used GC2

Thanks in advance for your help.

    1. If I were to buy a used GC2, will I have t pay any annual fees or transfer fees to Foresight?
    2. I currently have a Mevo+ and previously owned a Skytrak. What, if anything do you think I would like more, or dislike, about the GC2?
    3. Any common issues with a used GC2 that I should look out for?
    4. Would you give up a GC2 to get a Mevo+? Why?

No transfer fees for the GC2 itself. There are fees to transfer the software if done through Foresight. Many use other software such as GS Pro instead.

The flash does wear out. There are options to replace through Foresight (expensive) and through members on this board (highly recommended) GC2 Megaflash - Golf Simulator Forum

For my money it really depends on whether you are focusing on indoor or outdoor. Once the GC2 is set up and aligned it is rock solid and very accurate and with an HMT gives you all the data you need. If you want to bring it to the range, the simplicity of the Mevo+ will likely be a better option. Just run a search in the search bar here and you can find several other examples of comparison.

    Good Luck!

1-No. If it comes with software just get the persons login info and then change the email to yourself
2-LCD screen, integrates will pretty much every software, accuracy, durability. Dislike is using for both L and R players and it's an older kit so eventually getting something fixed will become an issue.
3-Flash may need to be replaced at some point. It's a consumable item. I had an issue with the backlight going out and the power port coming loose. There is a person on here who fixes GC2's and also sells replacement flashes at a good price. It's andygg something.
4-No chance, just too many issues i've read about for some indoor setups. However, it's way easier for L and R players with a mevo.
