When playing a course in TGC using my GC2, almost all shots go way left and says i'm swing 2-3 degrees out-to-in even when I exaggerate an in-to-out swing. I even will align the aim marker way to the right and every shot still ends up left, any suggestions

With a GC2 you need to hit parallel to your unit. An easy way to align it is to putt with it. Set you GC2 so you think it is square and parallel to your putt line. Then putt a ball and see how much left or right the ball path was. You should be within a degree or two every time. If you are aiming your shots so they hit the middle of your screen and your GC2 is not set up so that the hitting area is in the middle of your screen then that is the issue.
By moving the aim in TGC right you are not changing anything with how your GC2 is lined up.Mountain Time

I've seen this before. The guy had his GC2 lined up really skewed. The front doge should be exactly parallel to the line of the ball to the screen. Do what SFR said except search for "flat putting green" I think it's called. Someone created it last year to line up GC2's. Putt to 15 feet and turn on auto rewind. Putt until the GC2 L/R reading is what you see on the screen. My Courses:

I used a square and aligned it 90 to screen and where I wanted the GC2 to be and used a string along the edge of the square to make a line (used white paint pen) where GC2 is and I use a alignment rod on the GC2 protective cover to align to that line each time I use the sim. I also created a line on the mat using the square and string method for the center of the GC2 hitting area and I used that line for putting and aiming. This makes sure everything is square to the screen and GC2 is always in the right position.

I put my GC2 on a bit of board - which I have covered in astroturf.
Once I had it all aligned properly, I got 2 plant supports (the stick you'd place up the side of a sunflower to stop it falling over!) and stapled them down onto the astroturf at either side of the GC2.
This gives me 'rails' that the GC2 fits into. My setup is collapsible for putting my car in the garage. When I set up again, I just have to push the GC2 in between the rails, and I know its parallel to my mat.
As above, I used a couple of alignment sticks to ensure my ball traveled straight, and hit lots of putts until I got a 0° angle. At that point, I stapled my rails and then tested it was still at 0°.

SFR - You mention I should be aimed to the middle of the screen, however my hitting and putting area are offset to the right of middle of my screen. I have a straight line drawn from my putting area to the screen and when I putt I'm comparing where the actual ball goes relative to my line and the direction the ball in TGC goes on the putting green. Is this what you're suggesting I should see +/1 1-2 degrees?

Since you have a offset from the middle of the screen you also have to pick a target in TGC where your putting line is at the screen for a straight shot if you aim to where the pointer is in TGC you will end up with pull 3-4 degrees and end up left

First, don't put too much into the club data that is shown after you hit in the TGC software as it back calculates from what the ball did and is not so accurate.Originally posted by clubchampx9 View PostSFR - You mention I should be aimed to the middle of the screen, however my hitting and putting area are offset to the right of middle of my screen. Just look at the GC2 readout and the off line it shows after the hit. By you saying the ball goes way left in the software, the off line on the GC2 must be more than 1 or 2 deg. left.
I had said "If you are aiming your shots so they hit the middle of your screen and your GC2 is not set up so that the hitting area is in the middle of your screen then that is the issue."
So in your case where you are off set to the right you can't hit to the middle of the screen but need to hit parallel to the GC2 which would be some where on the right side of the screen.
When you putt a ball on your line that is parallel to the GC2 what numbers do you get with regards to the off line left or right?
That is where you should be able to hit dead straight and have the GC2 read as within 0 to 2 deg off line max with a straight putt.
If your putting mat is not perfectly flat and smooth the GC2 can pick up the slightest bobble left or right within the first few inches of the ball rolling and calculate that as an off line by a few deg. even if the ball looks to be straight when it nears your screen and the line you made.
Can you not chip a ball parallel to the GC2 and get that same off line number to be within 1 or 2 deg.?
You may need to take a picture of your GC2 and the screen and then show us where you aim and intend on hitting your shots.Last edited by SFR; 10-28-2015, 05:12 AM.Mountain Time

Any thoughts on this issue with balls going left. I tend to hit a lot of pulls in TGC and don't do the same in creative golf 3D that is my other software. I have the hitting area in the middle of the screen and the gc2 is just right of the hitting area if you are looking at the screen.1 Photo

You can move the centre of the screen to match your offset. It's the first setting in display. Maybe you're pulling it because of the offset. Also default your GSX settings. Maybe something is off there. My Courses:

You put the ball on the ground in the hitting area and move the ball on the screen until it lines up with the ball on the ground. My Courses:
