Well.... I just threw my balls into the ring.... I just bought the software.

Hope to be able to be on line in a week or so, depending how long it will take for me to get things rolling.

Thanks Bubs and if not for Zmax and Bubba I most likely would not be at this point.

Finished the download last night and emailed in for the licence code at about 9 pm mountain time. Not sure how the time zones play into things but I hope to get a code some time today.

Just looking at the download and the files on the hard drive, is it even possible to make a backup of the software and courses?
Unlike the P3pro and Foresight, I don't see a folder where the courses are held so just wondering if this can be done?

The courses are in the courses folder. C:/program data/Protee portal/Protee Sim/...

and have you downloaded all the new course packs? You should have about 115 courses total I think.

You will need to do a search on your drive for programdata as it will not be visible in your folder. From there you can get to your courses as Zmax provided.

I watched the down load of pack 4 to 7 on the course packs and they took about 30 to 40 min each and then a bit of time to install. The names were all showing as it was installing.

Not sure where they are.... does this have anything to do with not having the Licence key code yet as they have still not sent that or the one for the Portal?

No, it's Windows protecting you from yourself. lol...

Go to My Computer, Organize, Folder and Search Options, View, then put a bullet in for Show hidden files, folders, or drives. Then Apply and OK. You will see Program Data after this.

Should be there but hidden file. Do as Zmax says.

I must have messed something up in the install. On the desktop I only see an icon for Protee golf interface and the Portal icon and the GSX icon.

I am trying to install the protee golf 2.0 full over again. Should this be another icon I would see. Going to take an hour to download so if this is not supposed to show up as an icon let me know.

I just got an email with my activation codes so I will try those after the download, but I fear I might then need to re download the courses again.

Can you download just one pack to start and then add the others after if all is working?

There is no icon for Protee Golf 2.0. You start the Portal and launch the game from there.

You already have everything you need. Did you find the courses folder?

You can download and add each course pack at a time.

I still can't see the courses in the portal or the interface folder.

I got the codes entered and that seems good, got the GC2 set up with the bluetooth in the laptop so it sees it there.

Just trying to download the course pack 4 again and see what happens.

Might need help on how to set up the GSX and about the comports and if you need to change the IP number showing.
