  • Foresight GC2 on ProTee Golf 2.0 with Online Play!

GC2 owners now have the option of using their GC2 launch monitor with the ProteePlay(ProteeGolf 2.0) simulation software. They will even be able to play online with Protee golf simulator owners.

Yes the slider is a great idea. You will have no issues at all.

Let me rephrase my previous comments. The carries not matching is normal and not a big deal(relatively small). What's important is you getting the your normal distances. Rambo was experiencing low distances with his GC2/Foresight software. With the Protee, he was able to adjust to get his normal distances.

I understand and I'll make the best of it. My distances change from round to round and depending which ball or club I'm using. I'll have to figure out when I try it and see what I want to do about it. And what about when others use my GC2 and say we use different balls? I also don't like the idea of having to select a club. Anyways no use complaining until I set it up. If this is what it is, this is what it is.

The adjustments would affect everybody the same. i.e. you have the driver boosted 10%, everybody gets a boost. If you really need it, then it wouldn't hurt any body.

The only time you really need to select a club is when you want putt from lies other than the green. If you want to putt from the fringe, you have to select a putter.

During the game, the game will select a club depending on distance to the pin. Most of the time, you won't have to select anything. i.e. the game selects a 7 iron, but you using a 3 iron, you don't have to do anything.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'm getting excited. I hope I get it all up next weekend so I can play while I watch the PGA at torrey pines. What kind of ball do you guys use. Do you use Srixon like your avatar?

No, I just needed a yellow ball for my avator. I use a yellow ball for the online games. It's a way for other to know how's turn it is in the game.

I use Pentas and topflight gamers V2. I use cheap 2 piece balls for the Protee. You will see differences in backspin with different types of balls.

After install, create logon for Portal, then request license and activation code. Ask Protee to remote in and set thinks up. Response in 1 day. You will probably still need me to remote and get everything going.

Just ran some more testing with the Foresight software running with the Protee software. I had my Foresight boost at only 1.01 so almost none and then set up my GSX (Protee adjustable for the GC2) and hit shots off the first hole at Brabazon (however its spelled) and I have to say they are very close. I did need to tweak my GSX a bit during testing but I feel they are as close as I can get or need to. If any other GC2 users want to try these setting and see what you think.
Penalty: Bunkers (fairway)15 , Rough 10, Green side bunker 32, Heavy or long Rough 20
Carry Adj: Drivers 20, woods 12, Irons & wedges 20
Back spin: Driver and woods 5 (this was to help ball flight compare to Foresight) Irons 30 wedges 50 (this may be too high but I only get a little backing up)
Side spin 0 Putting 30 and Forgiveness n/C or left at 1

Thanks SFR. Perhaps Z we can copy this and paste it as a sticky somewhere for GC2 owners to use as a reference. Rambo can add to it as well.

                    • I've got the Protee software installed and waiting for a trial key, my GC2 is in transit 1 hour away and it just happens to be the coldest day of the freaking year! Grrr! My garage heater is working overtime to keep it around 5 Celsius!

                        • I won't be ready in 30 mins but I will check out the thread. I think Protee is setup now on a 1 week trial and as soon as the unit arrives I'll play with it.

                          • I see swing sense took it off their site. I wonder if foresight made a stink about it?? You wouldn't think so though only 2 people bought it, that I know of.

                            • It was removed to avoid possible trademark rights issues. It can still be purchased directly. Email Swingsense.

3 have bought it, 1 currently using a trial license, 1 thinking about it.

                              2 already had it.
