Did the gc2 have growing pains like skytrak the first year?

I've read a lot of the growing pains skytrak is having the first year with bad units, iPad only, incorrect distance, sim software roll out and subscription services.
For those that remember when gc2 came out, did it have its own hardware and software issues?

I remember the only issues they had at launch were some issues with the ballflight algorithms. But not to the extent of Skytrak's algorithm issues.

I don't believe they've had any hardware issues other than maybe people complaining that it wouldn't do apple compliant bluetooth. Which is why they released their GC2a.

But I think they had a lot more R&D into it than Skytrak. Partly why it's 2.5x more expensive.
