    Foresight GC2 Security Dongle

    Greetings everyone!

I am brand new to this forum and registered because this place is an incredible source of advice and resources.

Recently bought a used Foresight GC2A to mainly use out on the range to dial-in club distances during practice sessions. The purchase did include FR+1 simulation software. However, there was not a security dongle (USB security key) included.

My question is, what are my options when I do want to start using the software? Is the dongle needed? Does anyone know if Foresight sells replacements? The installation disc included an options password (FS100101). What is this? Where does get entered during setup? Does it replace the dongle?

Thank you all in advance for your input!

Yes you need a dongle. It can be obtained from Foresight if the seller notified Foresight of the transfer. Call or email Foresight customer service. The password is used during running of the simulation software to allow changing some of the options. I guess they use this so people using the GC2 software in commercial settings don't have the customers changing the defaults the shop owners have chosen.

I was told by a foresight rep that it would cost 500.00 to replace a dongle. This was some time ago though..
