With the awesome help of P2P I got my new simulator up and running. Here is the build with custom aluminum frame with built it projector mount, HQ screen, netting and custom blackout canopy. Country club hitting Matt cut into high end putting turf. Using GC2 with an Alleinware computer running FSX.

Everything was custom with Par2Pro. It's actually so blacked out I had to add some extra lighting as it was hard to judge distance to the ball.

Looks great, just one advice. Be careful with that top cross bar on top of the screen. I did my cage with metal piping and the first time I hit a full 60 it went right into that top cross bar and came back hard. Hit me right in the face lol. After that I used heating pipe insulation around the top cross bar and the two sides in the back. That helped a lot. Not scared of 60s anymore lol

Im sorry, that made me laugh when you said it hit you right in the face haha, I hear you though, I made my frame out of PVC and still have had some shots shoot around the garage like a bullet, definitely a legit concern with piping, padding it the best you can is definitely the way to go.

Your fine, I'm laughing about it myself and everyone who finds out does lol. Wasn't that funny when it happened, right in the cheek. But after I checked my teeth I was laughing about it myself already. But I wouldn't hit a wedge until I installed the pipe insulation which is 2" thick foam padding. lol

This is so true, I hit a ball last night that hit the only 5 inch section of exposed pipe of my enclosure and I swear the ball ricocheted around and I think hit all four walls of my room....lol

Yes what you might not be able to see is all the piping is covered with padding and then secondarily with black netting. It's hard to see in photos as there is a custom canvas cover that then encloses the entire unit. In fact it was a little too dark in there to hit balls so I had to go out and buy some 100W LED bulbs for the fixtures behind.

Granted it's super safe and I'm able to hit all my clubs, even the 60 wedge without any bounce back.

RCorsa, now that you have everything up and running, are you using only FSX or have you added TGC? Just wondering, as I just purchased the GC2 and will be getting it set up in 10 days or so. Is there an online tournament community with GC2 similar to what TGC has? Also, what courses did you end up picking?

Just doing FSX for now as I'm using mainly for game improvement and practice when I don't have time to get to the club. Really happy with it so far. The courses are ok too. I got 7 of them to start which is plenty for me. (I've only played 3 of them). I think there is a online community to. There is one for sure in the "compete section". Not sure the numbers of people however.

Hi RCorsa. Is this the "Enclosure - standard" from par2pro? What do you think of the build quality? And what size did you end up getting? Your reply would be greatly appreciated as I am currently also looking at their enclosure. Thanks

This is the custom aluminum one. It's REALLY nice and very sturdy.
