Need a Quick Opinion (Help puchase deadline used)

OK long story short because I don't to write an essay for everyone that no one will want to read.

I found a used device online. X2 Elite. I am thinking about purchasing it. I wanted to know if the X2 elite is a good unit to use? I am sure that if I wait a little longer I would prob be able to find an Xi unit a little bit less in price. But not much less.

I have negotiated this X2 Elite down to 6k including shipping and everything. First and foremost is that a good price to ask. Unit is used lightly since Owned Since December 2015 all information is confirmed through Flightscope etc research and conformation is done. Hoping to pull the trigger or not by the end of the day.

What are the benefits to a Novice golfer owning this device. Is it possible to believe that I could make money back using this device to help other golfers?

Would it be ill advised for a novice (still shooting in the 90's) to purchase this device should I not waste my money?

I swing well I just have inconsistency in my game. Would I be better Served not buying this and just playing more golf?

Overall $6k seems like a lot of money. One could buy a used gc2 for that instead of a used flightscope.

I looked at flightscope and to too me it was a great outdoor device. Needs a ton of space inside and the sim software is not much and not that good. On the outdoor range it has some nice software but I decided to got with the skytrak and have no regrets. However, I never use the outdoor range.

Very valid retort to be honest kind of shook a little sense into me. Interestingly enough I was unaware of GC2 or foresight sports selling used units. I know a new unit from
them requires a GPX card in a fairly capable computer. Problem is I mostly hit balls outside I plan to bring my device with me to the driving range.

My my purpose for it is longer term. Practice mostly statistics and analysis. I'm a long hitter but that tends to get
me in trouble some days I hit my fade shots really good other days my draw is tight and on point. But most days I alternate unknowingly one draw one fade one draw one fade and I think it's because of lack of consistent practice. The more I practice at the range sometimes the worse the result and I have a feeling it's because I have no data to go off. It's different hitting off turf then grass we all know that so I feel that tangible data is my best bet.

also if i'm being Frank, pun intended... Down the road in a 2 year period I hope to move out and have a nice place to stay... (Don't we all) I hope to have enough room in my garage or basement to establish a sim set up however I would love
to have the device before the room. Because sadly I feel if I don't get a device while my overhead is low I will never get one . Not never but you know what I mean... Lol

i am am not opposed to skytrak and actually i'm interested in it a lot... However I have heard outside the unit is not accurate. Not sure if it's true, I have no proof of that at all just what I heard.

Final point am I aware of what the device reads? Yes. Am
i sure how to use that data to benefit me? No. Do I think I could figure it out.. Yea I mean after all im top 5% of my college class with a biochemistry major and a strength coach who uses force velocity curve, maxVo2 and various other highly analytical data points...

but it to be honest when it all boils down I just want 2 things; to be able to play golf and practice golf whenever I want. And to know what is going on with my swing when I practice.

With your background you'll be able to figure out what the data means and how to use it. That won't be a problem. But worth doing lots of research until you've got all the options figured before picking something.

Worth also looking at the section on peoples builds to get an idea of all the pieces and their costs. Often the actual sim hardware is the cheapest part!

Used gc2 come up regularly. One just sold on this site a few days ago. Virtually brand new and less than $6k. New ones don't need a fancy card or computer and more than old ones do. In fact if you just want numbers then a gc2 doesn't need anything at all. So that makes it very portable. And it works great outside for sure.

I've no experience with skytrak outside. Maybe people who do can comment. But a lot of people are happy with it inside at least. There's a used one in the classified right now for $1500. So these things come up regularly also.

I appreciate the help its good to know that they do sell on this website which puts me a little more at ease then just randomly coming across it on eBay. I deff want something with a little but of visual feedback at the bare minimum an iPad

I guess as time goes on as stated by people I will naturally figure out the one which one I want most. Especially if the hardware is the cheapest part then i'm screwed. lol

Well as I said earlier I don't plan to do actual simulation till later on but I do want club data and to be able to narrow down my yards too
