I would say that it depends on a couple of unknowns. Mainly specific software + comp hardware. Call it 4k + X + Y. Give us those specifics and you'll get a good answer.

A new GC2 costs around $6500, so I'd expect to pay up to $3.5 - 4k for a good used one. Obviously there are bargains out there to be had, and the price generally reflects its condition and amount of use.

I recently paid $2599 for FSX + 5 courses new, but it depends on your desire to own it. I don't know what FR1 sells for new anymore? TGC is much cheaper, and most people prefer it.

        I wouldn't be paying any more than $5k for a used GC2 with FR1.

I guess I just overpaid then! I've been watching ebay auctions for a couple months now and nothing has showed up in that price range. I snagged a GC2 on Sunday with FR1, a spare bulb, and the protective case for $6100, and thought that I got a good deal because I saved $1600 over ordering that package from Foresight new, based on the price I got from them.

I'd say that if you are planning on paying $5000 for a GC2 with software, you'll probably be waiting a while for a deal like that to come up.

I bought all mine new. If I was only saving $1600 on about $8500's worth of stuff, I wouldn't waste my time buying second hand. It's not a substantial enough saving to risk things going wrong for me.

FWIW, the closing Golfsmith location by me is selling GC2 setups for $7K which includes 32" tv, GC2, mat, screen, and a few other things. I'm not sure about PC or software. I will try to find out.

I paid 4k for a used one year old GC2A no software. but I got a protective case and an extra flash module. I'm gonna pair it with my TGC and protee 2.0 software. it retails for 6995.00 . So I thought I got a pretty good deal all things considered. I've seen KSMANS videos on youtube using the gc2 with TGC. pretty impressive and accurate. I wouldn't buy the HMT. Overkill for another 7k plus having to put stickers on the club is a pain.
