Protee and RMotion and Putting

Does the rmotion work for putting?

Do you know if I can use this in conjuction with protee at the same time. I have a license for TGC and protee.


I was interested in using the rmotion for putting on my protee so I dont have to use the protee sensor pad for putting but can use a standard putting green with distance markers on my simulator to give a more realistic experience.

Yes, it does but is has not been integrated with ProTee yet, so you can't use it to putt (yet!)...

R-motion seems to have the sensitivity to record putts well. I have a nice 9ft long putting green that I can putt against. I can even backup to about 15ft and so I can get a good comparison to how real world acts vs the R-motion. So I know when I'm getting a good straight putt. The TGC greens have slopes to compensate for. In the real worlds, you would change your stance to aim. With TGC you may have to adjust the target point. That is something learned I suspect. But I always 4 putted (or worst) even on short 6 foot shots even though I was dead-on in the real world. The alignment of the clip is also critical to keep from reading inside-out or out-side in swings (hum.. it maybe a way to fiddle with the aim).

So Joshua, while it's not a perfect simulation of putting since it doesn't know the direction you standing or where your aiming, it is sensitive enough to know a forceful putt vs a light tap and distance the ball travels seem realistic.

Great. Seems like this will be a great alternative for putting. I'd definitely be interested in purchasing once it can be integrated with Protee. Seems like that's in progress.
