Looks promising and can be an excellent value. I'm curious how it performs indoors in a dark simulator environment since it doesn't look like there is a flash. Also, the Chrome Soft balls from Callaway are known to crack pretty quickly, for the sake of the budget consumer I hope they last longer when they cost $65/doz. I'm sure someone will find a way to print the pattern on a different ball.

Still think the real question is whether it trumps Skytrak and Mevo Plus. Can it really give good readings indoors with more limited space than Mevo Plus? Does it give more accurate readings than Skytrak with fewer mishits? What about the shot delay where Mevo Plus is better than Skytrak. Also, will this get us a Skytrak 2 even faster? What will the Skytrak 2 specs and price point be to compete with this?
The camera ability to have a down the line and head on view (second from your iPad or iPhone) at this price is pretty amazing . . . if it works. Obviously the lack of TGC 2019 at launch is a negative but otherwise this sounds pretty amazing at this point. Presumably, someone will come up with ball stickers so you can use say Kirkland balls with a sticker instead of the Callaways.

HI MadMax
The mlm2pro is the skytrak 2, rapsodo invented the skytrak and licensed it to skygolf at the time.
There will be no skytrak 2.

HappyGilmore102,
Thanks. I knew that but was assuming that Rapsodo would sell a Skytrak 2 to Skygolf or alternatively, Skygolf would license a Skytrak 2 from someone else, or develop it themselves presumably building on licensed tech. If not, they might as well become a pure reseller (or something like Bushnell with their version of the Foresight GC3) as new Skytrak sales will drop over the next few years. In my case, I am ready to sell my Skytrak as soon as I see the MLM 2 Pro tested as I am willing to trade access to TGC 2019 (presumably, temporarily) for some of the other features.
I would have gone to the Mevo Plus (with the advanced data) last year if I had enough room front to back in my garage. Unfortunately, I only have a little over 16 feet from the garage door to the screen.

Hi MadMax
You probably right, that's why skytrak was sold to Golftec recently in my view.

The big question is why is Skytrak is still at the $2000 price point, considering all the extras others are providing, is it that they know they still have a superior product for small spaces? I might have went with the Mevo plus if I had the room. I don’t understand why they can’t just throw in some courses and even the game improvement packages. This MLM is more than half the price and gives so much more, I just don’t understand.

Skytrak had a good run, something like 7 years.
I think the only way they could still get 2k from now on is to get rid of the paywalls and open the skytrak up to all.
I can't see this happening since Golftec would have paid for the subscription customer base.
I think skytrak will have a slow steady decline of old customers subscriptions but new sales figures will tumble due to the competition.

I was really considering buying even though I would have to reorganise my gym in my garage for space requirements, The fact that their yearly subscription is required for spin data and also camera use is a deal breaker. Sk Tr is unfortunately the cheapest fully camera based unit that I need for my current space and that allows putting, but it is so old and has subscription issues. Second hand is also so problematic as they need recalibrated after a while with manufacturer. Hope a new reasonably priced camera based option comes out soon.

ES TP does have infr red cameras but also has four 3D Doppler radar sensors. On you tube videos I have seen one implies only cameras used indoor with no radar, other states radar used inside but turned off for putting and chipping only. Cannot find space requirements on their site but if radar used will need the more than camera alone. Only video I have seen on accuracy show there is problems, these are old video so may have changed. Do you have any references to layout requirements.
Seen more reviews, all bad. People saying basically stay away from the ES TP.

" radar used inside but turned off for putting and chipping only" is correct. It uses the radar for club head speed, and ball speed. The cameras get everything else. The ES TP is pretty good in TGC2019 where "lob-wedge chip" and putting are camera only. All others are combined cameras/radars. It's a love/hate relationship with this device, because on a mid-iron shot (for example) if it misreads the ball logo, it will give you numbers based on what it saw, which will be wrong and inconsistent. It's rare, but it happens. I find the simulated putting (TGC2019) on the ES TP to be nearly spot on but you do need a flat/level and true putting zone extending for about 2ft out from the ball tee location. BTW... It can be humbling putting TGC if you're doing the Protee tourney.Last edited by Chuck; 02-07-2023, 01:13 AM.Courses Created:

Hi all,
I received my Rapsodo MLM2PRO on Friday 04/07. I don't have an indoor sim setup yet but that is my plan to build something where I can use this. That will be a more long term project.
On Friday I took the MLM2PRO to my local range. I was not in an ideal spot. Here are somethings I noticed and I have sent bug reports to Rapsodo:
1) The connection process from iPad to MLM2PRO is long. It asks a number of questions each time that I feel should be stored as preferences. For example my iPad has cellular internet. So I would prefer the direct wifi connection. But it asked me each time if that is really what i want to do.
2) For the most part the use on the range was fine. However the "combines" crashed in the middle of operation. I have no idea how to resume a crashed round or if it is even possible.
I did a small 3 hole simulation at the range and that worked ok. No big issues.
As a long time software developer myself I expect initial releases to have bugs. I am not worried and I am sure things will get sorted out.
On Monday night I am taking the device and my iPad to a friends house where he has a nice indoor setup that he uses with a Garmin R10. iWe are excited to try out the Rapsodo. During the winter we met almost every Monday night for 9 holes of simulated golf. Sometimes we had two, three or four players. It made for great fun.
So in preparing the Rapsodo for Monday night I stumbled into something concerning. I cannot figure out in the Rapsodo simulation how to add other players! I can setup a simulated golf round for myself without issue, but I do not see an option to add my friends for a round of golf.
If this is the case this is a very serious short coming of their simulation software. The closest competitor, Garmin has this in the bag. We've used it all winter with wonderful results. I was greatly hoping the Rapsodo had the same but I am not sure that it does.
If anyone else familiar with the MLM2PRO knows if you can run simulations with multiple players in a round I would sure like to know how to set it up.
I did purchase Awesome Golf simulator which looks great and works with MLM2PRO but it only has imaginary courses. IE I cannot play my local courses. So this Monday night unless someone can tell me how to get more golfers into the MLM2PRO simulation software we will be playing Awesome golf.
So my summary having the unit for only a couple days is:
1) Connection from iPad to device is tedious. It really needs to be improved as 95% of the people that buy this thing will connect the same way every single time. Store the common settings in the profile and try to get the connection down to one connect button press
2) The course simulation really needs to allow other golfers to play. From what I can see it does not and this is a serious disappointment. I am hopeful I have just missed the option. If it cannot support multiple players then I am limited to simulators like Awesome Golf that do not allow me to play real courses. That would be a bummer.
3) The MLM2PRO application claims it works with E2 Connect but when I downloaded that it did not see the device. I was then told by Rapsodo it would be coming in May.

I received mine over the weekend and have a complete indoor studio. You are right the connection process is a bit tedious but I can live with it. The part that was frustrating is that with Awesome golf the connection was being dropped all the time and there was no way to resume the round, you had to start over.
Also I could not find any directions to connect to E6, the issue is that the MLM2 Pro is not listed as a launch monitor in the app in the drop down selection, now I see that it is coming in May so guess I will have to wait. You do have to have a well lit studio area or be outside to see the swing video clearly.
The Rapsodo courses are really not anything close to playable in my mind so they multi player option does not matter to me there, but I would like to see some multi player games in the rapsodo simulation, closest to the pin, etc. so yes that would be a welcomed upgrade.
