Rapsodo MLM2Pro connection issues

Hello, My MLM2Pro arrived tomorrow. I’ve read about the connection problems. So I’m wondering does anyone not have any connection problems and it works just fine? Thanks, Cory in Montana.

I have no connection issues. I connect either with my wifi or direct and no issues so far. Will continue testing.

On the practice mode I don't have any connection issues whatsoever. However, on the simulation modes (Range/Courses) it just plays a few shot and then just freezes and I have to restart. I don't know whether it's my connection though as I have a detached garage. Have tried placing an extender in there. however, still not luck.

I had some connection issues tonight. Pain in the ass but it did eventually connect.

I found that the connection/game play worked a lot better with my android mobile phone rather that an android tablet.

So I have been testing the connection of the MLM2Pro and in my hands the android connection seems smoother than the IOS. I have a Google Pixel phone and it connects and stays connected perfectly. The IOS (Ipad Pro 2nd gen) works but is slower to connect. I do both wifi direct or connect to home network. One trick is to actually go closer with the ipad to the unit and it seems connection is quicker. Any other tricks would be appreciated.

I have connection and apparent distance calculation issues, as well. The connection issues seem to happen when I play simulated courses. Happens with both the Rapsodo and third party apps. Simulated range seems more stable for some reason. Either I will suddenly get disconnected or the Rapsodo app will crash. Of course, progress is not saved when this happens. Pretty frustrating.

I'm on ios using a 9th gen iPad wifi only latest software, firmware. The direct connection is the only way mine works. It will connect via wifi but in practice sim,combines, disconnects after a dozen shots every other hole practically in sim mode. Fwiw android phone s9 galaxy works fine with wifi.

What i do with my ipad is drag out an ethernet cable and use the rj45 to lightning adapter and just use the direct mode. Everything works flawlessly like that since it needs internet to load course data from the cloud. Its not super convenient since my sim is in the garage but its too bad. But I mainly use the device just for practice anyways.

As of 8/8/2023, I did a force update of the firmware (MLM2PRO app -> Profile -> Troubleshoot), I usually connect through my home wifi using my android tablet and works ok. It disconnects sometimes but reconnects right away.
