Course files?

How do I get the created course files from my PC? Anyone know where they're located? I have the steam game and the TGC sim software but I made a short little kids course that I want to try but I don't wanna wait for a sync from PC to Sim... Any way to get file and put into sim immediately?

I asked this same question a few months back and do t think I ever got an answer so here it is. It's kind of a hard directory to find. Do a search for .course files from the base directory. They are also named a random name with jumbled letters, at least that's my experience . Go in and do a fresh save in designer and then just go by save date .

I'm not really sure what you're asking. What software are you using to create the courses? If you're using TGC Course Designer it's simple. Just hit the Publish button. It works instantly for me.

I creatEd the course on the PC video game version of the game, not the sim version we play IRL.... I guess the file can be pulled from the PC data and exported to the sim folder somehow for instant publishing.. I should have just created it using the skytrak and sim software but I started it late one night on the PC...

Right, see my answer. Created on pc and transferred to my sim computer. Doesn't matter what the file name is, the sim will pick up course name if it is put in the right directory. You can then publish on your sim pc and have it right away.

Can't you just publish it from the PC version?

It won't be available on the sim until the next synch which they only do every few months or so.

It's crazy they take so long between syncing. You'd think they'd be able to do it once a week or something. There's so many great courses coming out daily, it stinks we have to wait forever to play them.

Publish from inside the sim version of TGC for quick access to the course.

Right, like I said above. The last comment was a reply to tlhammond about publishing on pc. So again to the original question, do a search on .course from your root directory and it will be the same from pc to sim. Move to there and open in designer, play it within there and if you're happy with it then publish it.

You need to go something like this:

c:\users\yourname\appdata\locallow\hb studios\thegolfclub\courses

That's for Steam version. Transfer into your sim pc. It's more like locallow\protee\tgcs\courses. Once its there it'll show up in designer and you can publish is straight to the sim server.
