  • SOS.....TGC won't activate

    I bought TGC a few months ago and finally got new laptop to load software on and start playing this weekend.

    Problem is the software does not activate, even though I pasted in the activation code I received in the email from skytrak

    I have sent a mail to protee, but really wanting to get this up and running now.


    I tried entering code via the "skytrak TGC interface" .... but when clicking on the RED activate button... nothing happened.

    Then tried via the TGC software dashboard- my licence, But now getting a message at bottom of screen that says *invalid license key (retry count: 5 # 5). .... and then contact customer support.

    ..... not sure if skytrak or TGC customer support???

    Really appreciate any help

    If you have a new computer, I suspect your activation code will not work. Contact TGC support as I suspect you will need a new activation code.

      If you have contacted ProTee support, trust me, they WILL help you out fairly soon. Just be a little patient. It may take a few hours, but they will get to you. Their support is amazing, and I am a perfect example of it. I kept putting in the wrong thing for my machine ID, and once they pointed it out to me (after their third email to me telling me what I was doing wrong) I was up and running!

        It's a brand new computer but to be clear I have never used the TGC software or activated on any other computer. I bought the software a few months ago and waited until I had a new laptop with the correct specs.

        Have sent an email to protee... but is there an IM or phone help desk / support, as time zones may be a challenge if back and forth via mail.

          The activation code you received from skytrak is not the license key for TGC. You need to send protee the code you received from skytrak to get the license at http://thegolfclubsimulator.com/register. Protee will then send you the license key.

              What doublepar22 said. Use the activation code and the machine id you find in the TGC for SkyTrak interface under settings to register the software. The help desk will then send you the actual license key.

                Thanks guys. And thanks Protee....

                Now have software up..... just trying to work out how it connects to my skytrak as tried USB, and got no lazer dot to recognise shot.... will search forum but if anyone has a quick answer.,..😉

                  Best bet is this: Set up your SkyTrak to connect in "Network Mode". Once connected, close out of the SkyTrak App. Then, open the TGC/SkyTrak interface, choose "Connect Box" (it may say connect your USB cable, but don't} and wait for the message that "Box is Connected". Then click on "Play Game" and it should launch the TGC software.

                    Thanks all. Got up and running.

                    Have a bit of a weird thing when the program opens as it goes to a white screen with TGC motif in top left corner (but can hear the background noise) .... closed out and go back in and comes up after a couple of tries. Hoping it's just a teething issue but will report back if different.

                    FYI laptop New Blade 1060.

                      I get the same thing running TGC on Windows 10 laptop. When you get the white screen after clicking play, click the minimize on the window bar. Then click on the TGC program in the toolbar at the bottom. This will open the TGC window and the graphics are now rendered.

                    upgraded my processor in my computer and now the game is saying there is a problem with my license. I deactivated and tried to reactivate it, but the activate button has no effect. In my dashboard when I paste my license and hit activate it says invalid license key retry count 2 of 5.

                      ProTee support is included. Simply open a ticket.
