  • Old Bugs Showing Up in TGC With SkyTrak

I have had two TGC rounds in the past few days where the old bug of shots being wildly misread has presented itself again. By wild misreads I mean driver and woods only going 20 yards off the tee, putts and chips going 100 yards, the ST unit triggering off of the club moving in front of the unit, etc. Has anyone else experienced this? It seems to be new since the latest ST update, but I am not 100% sure about the timing.

The data sent by the hardware is being used by TGC to simulator ball flight. A SkyTrak "trigger" happens before data even reaches the PC, so I would look at hardware/firmware/environment. I'm sure Seth will jump in with some questions/suggestions. Just in case make sure you update the TGC for SkyTrak interface by running the original install and select just the interface app. Also run the SkyTrak PC app. This will sync your SkyTrak with the SkyGolf servers and update the units firmware (in case you're running an older version).

This same exact bug appeared when TGC for SkyTrak was first released, and the fix came from the TGC side.

Check your TGC for SkyTrak app version. Should be 1.45.

Also check the shot results and look at the ball speed and spin details.

SkyTrak triggering when moving a club in front is definitely hardware related. When its doing that there is a big chance that is will also sent "bad" data to TGC.

Can we get a screenshot that gets added as a sticky that can get updated with the current versions? or text form?

Do you have any of these wild misreads when using the SkyTrak app? Like ProTee said, they just take what we give them, so the misread would need to be from the hardware. But nothing has changed in that regard in a long time on the SkyTrak side (as far as what we provide to TGC)
