    The rough penalties are ridiculous

    I don't know about you guys but when I play golf in real life, I don't need to club up 4 clubs to hit from the rough to get the distance I should.
    thhis game is ridiculous, 30 something yard penalties from the light rough and 50 or more from the heavy? I'm hitting 3 woods 214 on my GC2 and they carry 160 on the game? Hit a 5 iron 184 on the gc2 and it went 143.. when you gotta go 4-5 clubs up something doesn't seem right.

      The rough penalty is approx 7%. Strange because you are playing TGC for about 2 years now and you never had an issue. Maybe some setting somewhere not set correctly.

          i use gc2 and the 7%rough..14%heavy rough...is what i go by...i find low spin drives(less than 2000) go shorter in tgc than the gc2 readout...but other than that all seems good.

              Yeah I don't know what was going on today. I've never seen this much of a penalty from rough. At least 30 yard difference from every full iron shot from rough from what my GC2 was showing for distance. I did have issues logging in a few days back and hit reset on the settings on GSX and maybe also protee interface. I'll have to see what's going on. All tee shots were spot on minus elevation changes either way.

                    They in fact did. Just checked and they were all set at different spots instead of zero. Makes sense now why I was losing 50 yards on shots lol. Unfortunately I played like 28 holes like that.

                    Heavy rough is about 1 club for me. In real life I usually take less club because the ball will roll out, unless it's super thick. If you're getting more penalty than 1 club something is wrong.

                        Seems my sliders all adjusted on GSX when I reset a few days ago when having connection issues. Put all back to zero so it should go back to normal.

                                He was talking about the GSX interface for the GC2. Under the Protee tab are the sliders. Set all to zero.
