  • Skytrak and TGC

Please help me understand something. For reference I am a lefty. It seems shot that I hit go off to left more than anticipated when the shot type is "Pitch" and more to the right when the shot type is "Flop." Is this the case? Is there a break down of how the shot type affects ball flight? Thank you
Of course I am asking about the simulator version of TGC. Thank you.

The shot type selection (chip/pitch/flop) in TGC has no effect on your shot. SkyTrak sends the measured spin, speed and angles which are a result of your chip/pitch/flop.

Lefty here, as Protee stated, the measured data is what it is, regardless of shot types. Skytrak definitely has opened my eyes to what I perceived vs what's actually happening what the shots taken.Once I got over the "can this be right?" moment and trust the data, it has helped my game a great deal.

Yeah I agree, I had a habit at the course to pull my chips to the right a little if I didn't pay attention. Same thing on the Skytrak. Practiced a couple of things over the winter with Skytrak and TGC and was able to improve my technique, almost eliminated that now.
