Gimmie Questions

Got a couple of questions related to the Gimmie options in TGC.

1) If you change the Gimmie setting mid round does it take effect immediately? I was playing a round with a buddy last night and we changed it from 6ft gimmies to 12ft gimmies to speed things up after the 1st hole but there were several times where it didn't work. We would get it to say 8 feet but it would still make us putt. Other times it appeared that it did work, couldn't figure out any rhyme or reason for it.

2) You have have your "+1 gimmie" setting at 6ft and your "+2 gimmie" setting at 12ft and then you land your ball at 10ft do you get a chance to make the putt or does it just automatically give you a +2?

I'm looking for ways to speed up play and trying to dial in the gimmie settings.

1. To be honest we never tested this. We assume you set your gimmie distanced before you play and not during a round. It could probably mess up some things.

2. It will finish the hole with a +2. You will only be able to putt any distance > 12 ft.
