Having issues with TGC slowing down to a crawl around the eighth hole help

The past couple of times I have been playing, We start to have real bad timing/lag issues with TGC and it seems to happen around the 7th of 8th hole. It has happened while doing a 2-some and a 3-some. Its like the game bogs down hard, we can tell because the putting lines that show the greenspeed stop completely, then race to catch up after a minute or so.

I have tried the trick of running it in Windows mode and in Fullscreen to no avail.

Its an ASUS Gaming Laptop with a GTX 960m in it, 16 GB of ram and a quad processor, I mean, it runs Battlefield 4/1 just fine at high settings.
I hook up via USB and everything seems to run fine up until that point.

Anyone else had this issue then resolved it? If so, what is the resolution? perhaps any guessing on things I should try?

You certainly have a much better computer than i'm using, but I have found that sometimes a windows update will start downloading in the background on my computer and will kill the speed of TGC

Playing Locally with the guest players.

Open Task Manager and take a look at all the programs that are running in the background. Make sure nobody except TGC is take up big percentage of system resource.

Are you far from your WIFI signal. This has happen to me in the past. Playing in the garage and then suddenly TGC will bog down like i'm using a 38.4 k modem (flashbacks right?).

I had to get an extender for the garage eventually.
