TGC + Skytrak giving club data?

hey all, I figure this is a software thing unless it’s a combo of both so posting here for now.

My buddy just got TGC and ST set up. He posted some videos and I noticed he is getting club data output to the “after shot data” page.

I have the same setup and confirmed with him that he is not using any extra equipment. Just TGC and ST.

I am not getting any club data like he is (swing path and club face angle) in the (shit screen shots) images attached.

Do I have an old software version or is there a setting I haven’t enabled? Is this accurate information? It seems fairly accurate and the user feels it’s very accurate.

Im posting not only because I want club data but I was heavily researching R-Motion as my add on to get club data.

If this club data is fairly accurate and isn’t some glitch on his software, then this is what I want!

let me know what I’m missing here, thanks!

EDIT: I know the club data would be a guess/calculation - I am trying to understand if there is a setting i don't have enabled that would give me that calculation. Mine shows everything as neutral. Would be nice to have that calculation rather than - STRAIGHT PATH - SQUARE FACE

TGC is just guessing at what the clubhead was doing based off of what the ball did. If you don't see this screen after a shot, then you probably have it turned off in your TGC settings somewhere.

Off topic, but the Skytrak app was supposed to start being really good at guessing clubhead data based off of a huge database of shots that they've put together... did this update happen while I was sleeping? Haven't used the Skytrak range in a while.

Like the above post states TGC is guessing all your club data. But if you use the skytrak range you only get ball data on the skytrak range.

Might I add tgc does a pretty good at guessing swing path and all the other data.

What settings do I have to change in order to see that calculated club data? I did a lot of setting updates when i first got it and it wasn't blatantly clear that there was a option for this... must have missed it somewhere? I know the data is a guess, but would be nice to see. At the moment mine is always showing neutral/default information. Always a straight path, always a square club face.

Yeah, I knew it would be a guess and also am familiar with the range update, however that has yet to be implemented from what I saw earlier this month. I see the "Optimization" boxes, but nothing like the Par2Pro review from the last PGA show that had the club data included.

I see the screen but mine just shows the club data as neutral (straight path and square club face). Are you saying there is a setting that will give me the calculated club data like the screen shots I posted above? The images i posted above are of a video on Facebook, so it's hard to see, but you can clearly tell that the club data is different than what mine shows.

The image below for reference - The left image is his club data showing an in-to-out path, the right image is mine and is always neutral.

I hope I am clearly describing my question.

Ah. Yeah, now you've got me... I think mine used to show straight path & square face every time and now it's guessing... hmmm. Can't remember for sure though. Sorry for the confusion.

Right on!! Thanks for the response. Hopefully we get the new Range features soon.

Maybe one of the @protee-united guys can give me a little detail on what I'm missing.

For what it's worth, I just downloaded and installed TGC this year so it's possible I am unaware of some update that I need to implement.

Good call... if you look at my post history I had to go through this Discord link to get to the update https://discordapp.com/invite/W8RExqW It was some screwing around so you might need to do some searching on the forum... maybe there's an easier way to update that I missed.

I had never updated TGC in 2+ years so maybe the club data guessing update was in the update.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction for this club data setting! Or confirm where I can find the new version... It is hard to find this information. http://thegolfclubsimulator.com/home doesn't look like it's been updated since 2016 so not sure if I am missing something.

        Thanks

ProTee United I checked my settings and Show Club Data=ON was already active but I was never getting that data. Any ideas on what else could cause that info to not show?

@protee - My setting files says I'm on 3.0.2 but the other box where I can disconnect the server and some other things says im SDK 3.5.0. I am getting conflicting information between the settings file and the software.

That means you messed up your system by installing patch 3.0.2 on a 3.5.0 installation, basically downgrading. Reinstall 3.5.0.

After some trial and error it looks like I got it fixed. Thank you for your support!
