  • TGC Putting Question

I currently have the E6 demo, but I'm looking to get TGC here soon. One feature I like on E6 is the ability to manually enter the amount of putts once you hit it on the green. Does TGC have the same option?

    Thanks

I do not think you can say 2 putts or 3 putts but you can see the gimme range...4 6 or 8 feet I believe. One feature TGC has which E6 does not which I think is great is ghost players. Meaning, you can play a round against yourself from the past or a round a friend has played in the past.

Thanks for replying! That’s unfortunate though, I plan to build a putting green that’s 22x15 so I’d rather putt there and enter it manually. That’s pretty cool they have he ghost play though!

You cannot enter number of putts. You can set a gimmie distance plus a distance for 1 and a distance for 2 putts.

Thanks for replying. I like that they have the option to designate distances for 1 or 2 putts.

Hopefully future update will include 2 additional options: 1) manually enter the number of putts and 2) elements of chance after the ball has landed on the green.

Sim putting feels pointless to me. Manually entering the number of putts would be a perfect solution.

Funny. I find putting with a GC2 great. I doubt there will ever be the ability to enter your putts but there’s a lot of options for auto putting to make it work.

Just curious, do you find putting better with HMT add-on?

The HMT does nothing for putting except tell you what you did with the putter. It doesn’t relay into the game.

Putting won't seem real at first but if you actually think about most people including professionals miss putts all the time, once you start making long putts in the game it will start to get addicted playing putts. After making 30ft putt putting is an essential part of my sim!

Being a terrible putter in real life and reading this comment makes me feel better about continuing to putt. I turn off putting when friends are over bc 18 holes of watching them putt is just too much. For sure takes time to get used to.

Not a fan of OptiShot but it allows you to enter # of putts and also has the element of chance once on the green. 1 2 or 3 putts Not sure why it would be difficult to do
