Is there going to be a TGC 2021 or 2022? How often do they release ? I just got a skytrak and just curious if I should invest in tgc now or if there has been rumors or word of a new release.

It was a few years between TGC and TGC2019. I would just go ahead and get TGC2019 now because there likely won't be anything new for a while. And even when something new does come out you will likely be able to upgrade for a fee. I think it was like 400 or 500 bucks to upgrade from TGC to TGC2019. You won't be disappointed with TGC2019.

I have 2K21 on Xbox and believe me you don't want it on your sim. It has lots of problems. The worse is random tempo. I can be playing well with the controller and out of blue a big slice. TGC 2019 works well with Xbox. I can't imagine 2K21 on a sim. If they can't fix this on an Xbox controller they couldn't handle the data a sim would send it.Last edited by nbar; 09-30-2020, 10:54 AM.

nbar the tempo issue on the game versions would not be transferred to a sim version. The shot inputs would come from a launch monitor not a game controller. IF u read up about TGC19 game versions, many complained also about tempo/swing issues on the 19 game versions. but those did not transfer to the 19 ported sim version. We r talking two totally different animals here.Last edited by Fhacker; 09-30-2020, 06:20 PM.

I have the 2K21 on switch, and can't say I would be too eager to upgrade the sim. A big incentive to upgrade would be if they significantly enhanced the course search functionality, but unfortunately its the same as TCG...
The biggest value of TGC/2K21 is the user generated courses, and shocked at how limited the search still is. It's really frustrating to search for a popular course, and have a dozen versions show up, and no easy way to preview, comment, filter (by Lidar), etc...And SUPER time consuming to try them all....

When you search for a course and multiple results come up, it shows you if it's Lidar or not. Also just look at the star rating and the number of plays. It's usually pretty easy to figure out which one is the best. Beyond that, you really only need one hole to determine the quality of a course and can just quit after one hole if it's obviously not too great. I agree that the search function could use some improvement though.

I doubt you will ever see a new version, 2K games probably not interested in the simulator market. Other options are now also available so I doubt anyone is even looking at this going forward. I would love to be proved wrong as I liked TGC a lot.
