TGC September Update

Looks like the September update for TGC will be out next week: http://thegolfclubgame.com/2015/09/11/fall-guy/

This one includes the mulch and pine straw textures, which will be great for courses like Magnolia National. Hopefully the simulator edition gets an update not too long after...although it might be good to wait a few weeks to allow some time for designers to release new versions of courses with mulch/pine straw before the course database is synchronized again.

This has been discussed before, but here is how it works:

1] HB released an update for Steam, Xbox and PS4.
2] Software always has bugs, so we wait a few weeks to make sure these bugs are reported by the community and HB has a chance to fix them.
3] We check the update and make sure features we do not need/want are taken out.
4] If needed we add sim features to the update.
5] We test the final update and make sure 99% of the bugs are out.
6] We build special installers, update SDK and announce the distribution.

This process will take several weeks. We do not want a small bug causing your sim to be down during the indoor season.

At the same time we release the new update, we have run the course sync.

Thanks for the info! Glad to see there's a good process in place to manage the updates. Patience is better than headaches.
