i saw a forum entry before I bought my sim. It is kind of similar to what was just posted about pga tour stops in Tgc. It had all the courses that were covered and one was TPC San Antonio. I go to do a search on it now that I have tgc and can't find it. The reason I ask is that we are playing it for my brothers 50th and it would be cool to play it beforehand . Thanks.

You may have seen this on a forum related to the console version of TGC. It may not be available yet on the sim version until the next course sync. -
Thanks aja. I found it but very strange. I typed in TPC and got a bunch of courses but no TPC San Antonio. I typed in San Antonio and didnt get it. Finally, I typed in anton and it came up. it is called "TPC San Antonio" so I dont know why it wouldnt turn up in the other searches.Comment

The search by text is not reliable...it has issues. I've requested HB to look at it but I've never heard back.
I think all the san Antonio courses in the game are long aren't they? i.e. 7400+ yards?Comment

Yes, this one is 7500 yards! I guess the good thing is when we play the real thing, it will seem like par 3 course. Definitely not ProTee friendly.

The biggest joke of a course you will ever see. whales and ships in ponds, huge flowers as trees. The worst part is that the pins were where if you were short by an inch, it would roll back at you, if you were long by an inch, it would roll off the other way. Disappointing seeing as it's the only version of a great course.
On the search engine, I opened a pro tee ticket and it is on their list. It is a matter of changing one character in an sql statement and they know this but it is still "on the list".Comment

There's a lot of really bad courses. It's best to play known courses that you see reviews on. Other than that, it's trial and error. CLV posts a top 100 review.My Courses:

Understood and I have played some of these and they are great and I appreciate the lists they keep. The bummer was we are playing there next month and my brother was excited TGC had it. Although I cautioned him they are not always authentic, this one was really a disappointment (mainly impossible pin placements that created a few 6 putts). It's a shame too because for the most part the layout was close. A little more effort and it would have suited us just fine. I wish I had time to check out this course designer. It wouldnt be too hard to take this and make it workable but from what I read you cant modify one's files unless they were to send it to you? I do have to applaud the designers creativity and sense of humor though. Whales in a 4 foot pond did make me feel like The Jefferson Airplane should be playing in the background though.
