TGC & GC2 Setup - Need Help

I am setting up a GC2 with TGC. I have everything setup but the issue I am running into is I can't get STATUS INPUT to show CONNECTED.

I get STATUS OUTPUT to show CONNECTED.

I have Bluetooth all setup correctly with the USB-BT400 dongle.

It shows my GC2 Incoming is COM3 and Outgoing is COM4

I configured the ProTee interface correctly as discussed in the install/setup thread. I turned on Use External Data.

Question: Do I need to set the ProTee interface COM to my incoming or outgoing? The instructions show COM1. But I've tried switching to COM1, COM3 and COM4 with still not connecting GSX successfully showing STATUS OUTPUT = Not Connected.

I start up ProTee Interface, then I start up GSX and click the Connect. But can't get STATUS INPUT to show CONNECTED.

Any ideas on what I need to do. I've followed the instructions but having issues. Please help!

You're really close. It's a port issue. Post a screen shot of the bluetooth settings coms and the Protee interface settings and I'll tell you what it is.

Also, how far is the dongle fro the gc2?

Ok, I got it working. The instructions said to select your Incoming COM Port into the GSX interface. So that was COM3 and that's what I input. But could never get it connected. So I changed it to the outgoing COM4 in GSX and both connected. Everything is good now. But the instructions specifically say input your Incoming COM port. So that was wrong. I had to switch to my Outgoing for it to work.

You're correct. It's outgoing.

Yup. It was driving me nuts! Someone should update those instructions so the next person doesn't have the same issues connecting. Everything works great now! GC2 is awesome!

I had the same problem, and I don't know why I tried switching the outgoing/ingoing immediately, but I did. But yeah, I could see that really screwing someone else up....since it's the opposite of what needs to happen.

Someone suggested that the instructions need to be updated. Sounds like there are more than a few people in the know who could undertake to update the instructions (referring to most of this topics posters...)

Any volunteers?

Zmax created the instructions. He had it backwards and fixed it but later in the instructions it says to using incoming. At the start it says take note of outgoing. It used to say incoming there too. Only zmax or GSF admin can fix it I think. I'll ask GSF Admin to let me fix it.
