I just played my second handicap round in TGC and had fun. However, the green speeds are ridiculous. I'm a Skytrak user and tried changing them in the Skytrak TGC settings but for some reason the green stimp and firmness will never save. I can change the power boost on the clubs and it will save but not the green speeds. Any help? I'd really love to not 3 and 4 putt almost every hole, makes my handicap seem pretty off. I also can't seem to get any of my irons to hold on the greens, it's like they are all rock hard. Any tips?

How to slow down green speeds in TGC

When you start TGC there's a screen saying profile, server, settings ect. Click server off and settings. Firmness and speed is in there. I think 0 and 6 are the lowest. My Courses:

When opening the configuration file to make changes, you might try holding SHIFT and right clicking and "Run as Administrator". Then it should open the .txt file and allow you to make changes and save them. You might need to go into the folder where this .txt file is and open or run as administrator. Some computers with there security settings requires you to do this. Try this. I bet that will allow you to save.

I believe even if you sent the stimp to less than 6, when you next run TGC, close it and then check the settings file it will have reverted to 6. I think ProTee United were talking about giving us access to the lower stimp values in a future release so the putting could be tuned to be more like the greens around where you live. It's super fast for me too, but you will get used to it eventually.
The best advice I've seen around managing the speed is to use the 1 inch=1 foot method - basically you mentally add a foot to the putt for each rise of 1 inch, and shorted the putt by a foot for each drop of an inch. You then try to putt it dead to this number. Clearly this doesn't give perfect results, but it should at least stop you de-greening the ball from 10ft once you get used to it. When you get big double breakers, or shelves in the green etc then you have to apply a little more guess work.

Make the greens less firm in settingsOriginally posted by shambolee View PostIs there a way to get your shots to hold the greens better? My shots hold much better IRL.
