Another published course, this time a Montgomery County Golf (MD) muni called Sligo Creek. From their website:

Sligo Creek Golf Course is a challenging 9-hole course. It is the oldest 9 hole course that MCG has to offer. Although the terrain is hilly, many golfers enjoy walking this park-like setting golf course. The par 3’s will challenge the best of golfers.

The course is short and a great walk. Lots of trees, lots of hills, and a great view of (and accessibility from) the Beltway. I spent many afternoons hoofing it repeatedly the past few summers after work. Fun atmosphere with a bar and grille downstairs.

A set of kid's tees are available (average 60 yards per shot)!

Several improvements made:

• Improved fairway splining
• Convert tee boxes from splines to brushes
• Bunker brush used to improve bunker edges
• Highway sound barrier using retaining walls
