  • Most visually stunning TGC2019 course

A few years back someone asked what the most visually stunning course on TGC2019 is. I've been looking throughout the forum for the thread. So no far no luck. If someone remembers where the thread is or has some suggestions - please offer what you can.

I have my IRL golf buddies over this weekend and I'd like to showcase TGC.

Cabot Cliffs is a good one, The Pebble Beach & Cypress Points w/ +19K reviews in the first few pages of the most played is good. The Conservatory, Harbor Town, Kapalua Plantation course w/ multi tee boxes is a fun play with friends.

Thank you. Will have a look.

The fantasy courses are almost always better than the real life ones. You can scroll the list at TGC tours website to find the most liked ones

I think these two answers cover both ends of the spectrum well, and that it really depends what your golf buddies are like. My experience has been that the golf “nerds” love playing a track that they know well from the pro tour and that having the chance to play St Andrews, TPC Sawgrass, Pebble, The Masters venue etc are all pretty fun. And all of those tracks have good versions on TGC. I’d also highlight Cabot, and Chambers Bay as two that people seem to enjoy.

If you are looking for a great par 3 course, check out Alpine Falls. The guy did a great job and is absolutely a blast to play skins on. This is becoming a regular course to play after playing 18. We mix up the tees and have seen quite a few hole in 1's.

I played this last night a shot a couple over par, felt great... But then I came to comment, you say it was a par 3 course, There must be another Alpine Falls

If you're one of the simulator golfers that sets gimmes to anywhere on the green, Frigiliana would be a good choice.

        Belmont CC Lidar
        Virginia National Lidar
        Creighton Farms Lidar
        Westpark Va Lidar

Super suggestions. Found a fantasy course called Kong Valley. Insane graphics. Not sure if sim play will be any good.

I'm currently going thru a list of courses that were part of a design contest to find the ones that are Sim friendly (as well as PKR friendly ). If you go to YouTube and search for 'JimGem' he did playthrough reviews of all of them. I'm sure you'll find something in your range to suit. Alphasand Dunes, La Bombia Bluffs, Keystone Heights, Trighton Park (not necessarily visually stunning, but a great tract), Brynhurst (too long for me, but you might like it), Chico Canyon (driver not always the best choice off the tee), Shadowpoint Pines (again too long for me), are so far ones that can be played in a simulator.
            Lidar Courses:
            Belmont CC Lidar
            Virginia National Lidar
            Creighton Farms Lidar
            Westpark Va Lidar

            Fictional Simulator Courses:
            Ile aux cinq phares
            Conifer Woods v2
            Rodgers Woods v2
            Greenwood Golf Course Sim
            Desert Valley Golf Sim
            Nine Lakes

            plus others.

I made two courses just outside of Miami, Turnberry Isle Miller SW and Turnberry Isle Soffer SW. They are surrounded by hi rises and Miller even has hi rises within the course. Very unique.they both also have a ton of water and bridges.

Miller was great. But soffer was better. IRL I like miller over soffer, but soffer was exceptional on the sim. Can't thank you enough.

Good deal Mickey , glad you liked it. I agree, they look great with Miami high rises in the background. I love the waterfall on the first hole and then teeing off from the top of it on 9.

Ninigret National, Marlette Fells (that's not a typo), Necedah Pines, Two Sisters Falls, Lake Lyla, Ogopogo... still going through the list. I'm going to create a season in my society and put them on the schedule.
Edit: The more important question is which ones are simulator friendly. (Any of mine, except Ian's Inlet, that was designed for my son)

Agree on most of these . . . would add Old Head as a well known golf travel course that plays really well on TGC 2019.

If you want to try a fun course with plenty of elevations that's not bad visually either, give Wasserschloss Auel Tour a try.
