  • TGC2019 Lidar Course List (& RCR)

Since you can't easily search and there isn't an agreed upon naming convention, I decided to start a tracking list of the Lidar courses for TGC2019 as well as some of the well done RCR courses. I will keep this list updated and posting to this thread.

I went through all the threads and believe I have captured all of the courses so far. Since some of them haven't been migrated over or released yet, the TGC Name is blank.

If you see any errors or courses that aren't listed, send me a PM and I will correct it.

You can filter by designer, State and number of holes.

    Hopefully it's useful for some.

This is great! The challenge will be keeping up with all the new courses.

"filter by Sate" ....does that mean you are only doing USA courses?

Many (Most?) of the best courses in the world are outside of the USA so hopefully more and more of those will be done.

(I couldn't actually view the file on my phone. It said "invalid file specification" or something like that. Maybe the file format isn't common?)

      Country = great! thx

There are many versions of excel files. I usually try to save public excel files in 97-2003 format for maximum compatibility since not everyone uses the latest and greatest Excel version.

I recently uploaded my home course that I built using Chad's Lidar tool.

Mark Carmona, I used to live in Yorba Linda about 30 years ago. I wasn’t much of golfer back then. My mom still lives there and every time I visit I say how much I would love to play Alta Vista but I don’t know anyone with a membership. I’ll have to look you up next time I’m in town. Hint hint......lol.

wbond Hey great idea with the list! FYI I’ve published final versions of my courses. They’re called:

    George Wright GC LIDAR
    Newport CC LIDAR
    The Masters Par 3 LIDAR

Didnt look like that was an editable file, so wanted to let you know so the file could be updated.

    Thx!

3 of us played but played the same tee. The course played fine. There’s some good holes there.

Here is the weekly update to the course list.

I didn't check if the courses were ported over yet, so I'm still missing the actual TGC2019 name on some of these.

I did Beaver creek CC-Maryland and got it checked from the clubs president before uploading. It's as Beaver Creek CC Maryland in TGC 2019 Sim alpha and Beaver Creek CC-Maryland in TGC 2019 console version. In case you want to add it to the list.

Just scanned this. Cool list, but I did not create purgatory! I think there was some confusion I was just pointing out wbond that that individual and those non sim creators were starting to use a nomenclature spelling out lidar in parentheses

I published 12 Bridges (Lidar) from the PC and I'll publish again if it's not sync by the time I get TGC2019 sim
12 Bridges is in Lincoln, CA and was a stop the LPGA came to back in 2005 to I think 2010.

Now it's called Catta Verdera Country Club

Thanks to ChadGolf for the lidar and map tools

Added it to the list. Let me know if you use a different name if you publish via the sim side.

Updated list. Note that there is a tab for Lidar, RCR and added some fictional courses. No idea if the fictional ones are good for the sim.

Musket Ridge in Maryland is a tremendous Lidar course that is not on this list. I have played it many times in real life and the TGC version is extremely accurate.

If anyone wants to create lidar versions of Dormie Club and Tobacco Road in North Carolina, that would be fantastic!

I agree. I've played it 2 or 3 times in the sim and it's really nice with some good elevation changes.
        Working...
