  • Uneekor install question

    Hi,

I'm getting ready to install my new system. I have a question about the placement of the overhead unit relative to the tee position. The manual states the front of the unit should be 3.5 ft behind the tee area. Seems straight forward...however the installation image seems to show the sensor cone only extending in front of the tee position. Does this mean that the "tee position" represent the back end of the hitting area? In other words does the ball need to be teed at or fwd of the installation manual's "tee position?" I would imagine not. but just want to be sure....I recall from previous threads that the hitting area is quit large so I imagine the "tee position" is actually the centre of the functional hitting area.

    Thanks

Correct, the tee position should be centered. You will love your new system, congratulations.

Yeah tee position goes 3.5 feet in front of middle of unit. When you do calibration there is a little wiggle room for the hitting area, but being centered is very important due to trying to align the multiple cameras.

        Timely topic....

My room is not very deep, so the “tee spot” is pretty specific—critical, even, with a driver/3W in my hands. As a result, I don’t have a lot of play with getting my 3.5’ correct.

My question is: how big is the detection window once everything is set and calibrated? Is it basically the size of the checkered calibration card?

Installing today if the FedEx guy ever shows up!!

Size probably depends on how high the unit is from the floor, with mine the ball is recognized in a 16" x 16" area. My sensor is about 10' off the floor. However I am not sure how the system reacts when the ball is hit from a spot different from the designated "tee spot"; from what I can tell it doesn't make much difference but I have only used lateral movement and a couple inches fore and aft.

Yeah, that makes sense, as mine will be 9’ 8” or so from the floor.

Still, if the tee is a point, and the sensor easily reads 2 or 3 ball widths in all directions (probably more), that helps me understand what I’m working with when I hang the sensor. It helps me nail down where the “tee” point of reference needs to be for my room...which I can then measure the 3.5’ from

          👍🏼

I'm thinking about buying one so please let me know how you like the uneekor. My room is also small so will be interesting to hear how it goes.

I think they say the hitting area is approx 18" square. I have found that to be about right so far. Luckily the lady tells me when it is "ok".

I finally have the unit mounted and connected via the LAN cable and I have confirmed it is connected. The instructions then state I will receive an email with a license code? This seems strange...How does this email get triggered? Why not just include the license on the memory stick? Any help appreciated as I was hoping to get this done now that I have a few days off.

My license key came in the shipment notification email from Austin....the one with the FedEx shipping info. It was an attachment called “QED_300xxxxxxxxx.license”

You should already have the license code in an attachment in the email you received when it shipped.
