  • Cut (Blue) DC Balls

I got my 2 dozen Cut DC balls on Friday and tested them out this weekend. I ordered them from the direct orders@cutgolf.co contact and it was an easy process. Asked for clear coat on them and didn't put anything additional on them yet.

    1. It's a little deceiving but on the website you don't see anything for the DC balls that state they are "Blue" labeled balls but when they come they are actually labeled on the ball themselves as Cut Blue DC. https://www.cutgolf.co/collections/g...blue-dual-core You can see this from the picture. They are definitely different balls from just the "Blue" balls but a little confusing.

    2. After 50 range shots and 9 holes on TGC 2019 I started to get the 888/222 no read. As you can see from the picture the dots start to come off a lot easier than any of the label options I've attached before.

    3. I didn't see any issues with the cover on the "DC" ball as some saw before with Cut balls. The ball cover still looks good after being unusable on the Uneekor.

Just can't recommend this option. The dots just wear off too quickly and appear to possibly wear some on the screen. I was impressed with the customer service and actually the ball from Cut but I won't be doing it again. The printing after the fact is just not acceptable like some of the other options. I would much rather use the Bridgestone balls (which I've hit over and over with not a lot of visible wear) or another option than pay $60 for 2 dozen balls that won't last.

Try putting a swipe of clear nail top coat over each dot it will increase the life

also the cut matt white appears betters to hold the dots better
but the balls only slightly better than the uneekor

im going to ask because I have such a hard time getting my head around the issue of ball or dot longevity

to me getting the most accurate information and accurate representation possible is
    paramount
    longevity of the ball
longevity of the dots is a distant 2nd

same on the course if a ball reacted poorly with my swing and clubs but lasted forever I still would play the less durable but more consistent and accurate ball

even at 8.00 a ball and only getting 75 hits per ball
thats still only the same price as a lg basket of crappy range balls at a driving range

and 1/3 the price of a session on a top quality premier range

Just trying to understand why these balls need to have such a long life span and what would actually be accptable
    to most guys

im ok with a session a ball
a session every two I could live with

    but what say ppl

    200 hits
    300
    400
    500
    more ?

Thanks Tonysmjc I appreciate all the work you've done on this project for all of us. I'll try the clear nail polish.

      1. My thoughts are it's gotta last longer than a round of golf ( I don't shoot 75 ) I usually use a regular golf ball 2-3 rounds on my home course. At 75 shots I wouldn't be able to trust it for a tournament round.
      2. I'd like it to last as long as the ball integrity as everyone would. I understand your $8 a ball theory but I bought the Uneekor so I wouldn't have to shell out bucks for a range. I'd like to really just purchase 2 dozen balls for the winter inside season each year and be done with it.

      Just by 2 cents.

        That’s a fair position

If your happy with the Bridgestone uneekor

the cut white Matt ball is better not good but better
and the dots hold better on the Matt finish

the cut grey is much better ball wise and the printing seems to have better longevity

what ever it is about the different skins or clear coats
had a serious effect on how the dots hold up

so far srixon has the worst Adhesion

Becareful with cut blue golf balls. You get what u pay for. They are inferior golf balls from core to cover. They tore my screen last year from a "cut" - no pun intended - in the cover only after a 50 or so hits.
