  • projector setup for uneekor

if i place the uneekor at about 15 feet and the projector above at around 10-12 feet from screen (About 10 feet high) wont the projector be above hitting zone
how do most people set it up with the projector

You should be more than safe with the projector placed 10ft high overhead or any where near you. Unless you are 7ft tall, the top of your swing arc would not be that high and the swing arc is actually tilted away from the projector directly overhead. There are many posts on this forum relating to this and I have read probably 3/4 of them trying to set up my sim room and several of the members have ceilings around 9ft with no issues hitting or coming near the projector overhead. Hope this helps.

If you need the projector 15 ft from the screen you will probably want to mount it well off to the side. I mounted mine on the left. Then, at address the image will project behind a right handed player. The higher you mount the projector the better. This will require a significant amount of Keystone adjustment in the projector you select. I think keeping things centered is a more friendly solution for most folks.

I disagree, you can mount the projector anywhere in the center line and not come near hitting it as long as the hitting area is also on the center line. The club path is always back and behind you.

I think we agree. I'm saying most setups will benefit from centering the projector and it's probably best to avoid my situation.

I am about to receive me QED and was looking to have projector at 9‘ 8” and the QED mounted at 11.5 feet from the screen. Will the physical projector get in the way of the QED sensor? I plan to have the tee location 8 feet from ball to screen. I appreciate the help.

At first glance I think you will be fine. I assume the lens of the projector is at 9'8"? The front of the QED is at 11'6"? That seems like it would work.

I would think so as well. Juts was curious if anyone else had their projector in front of their QED

Mine is not set up that way, but I think it's pretty common. The Uneekor looks almost straight down, so having the projector in front of it should be just fine.

I have the EYE XO and noticed that the initial ball flight line is not centered on the screen. In driving range mode, it is about 1/4" off on my laptop and about a foot off center on my projection screen. All components are exactly aligned and the projected image is centered on my screen. Is this normal and if so, where do I aim ? I realize I can offset the image using shift/arrows but do I need to do this every time I use the simulator ?
