  • Uneekor hitting area size and how does it work

I’m new to sims and just curious how big is the hitting area do the qed where it reads the ball.

And as long as your ball is somewhere in the zone your are fine? Like if I go as far left or right as possible within the hitting zone will the ball go more left or right. Or do you just aim like in a regular game so it doesn’t matter if it’s too far left or right in the hitting area?

how big is the uneekor hitting area 18 or 24 wide? I feel if the hitting area is 18 wide then a 12 insert wouldn’t be great if I wanted to maximize that hitting zone if it’s 24 maybe 2 fiberbuilt will work? I know I want fiberbuilt as I hear it has the least impact on joints as reg mats ruined my body before

I know I can swing perfect from centre but if I try from the right side I gotta go go 1 ft away from centre but for me as a lefty I have more space then the righties and my whole house is left handed so it’s just the right handed players that gottta hit 6-12 inch from centre
Jwheels9876 is the tee position (for Eye XO) in the middle of the 18” long by 12” wide hitting area? Hard to tell from the manual whether the green shape is the mat or specifically the 18” x 12” hitting area, and thus the position of LM at 3.5’ from front edge or middle of the hitting area. The contention is only 9” in difference but I want to ensure my dimensions are correct wrt wiring, etc.

14MPH I'm getting ready to mount a QED next month. Did you ever get an answer whether the 3.5' refers to the middle or front edge of the 18" long hitting area?

QED owner here, but I think you want 3.5 feet from the Tee position to the nearest edge of the launch monitor. The Tee position is in the center of the hitting area. This gets fine-tuned when you calibrate, so it's probably not critical that you are exact with this measurement. Ball placement is pretty generous with these units and you can place the ball several inches from the Tee position, but the Tee position is probably the ideal spot to hit from. I doubt I ever hit much more than 4" from the tee position and misreads are minimal. If you start placing the ball right at the outer edge of the zone I would expect your accuracy to be somewhat effected due to the math involved.

This is referenced to the center of the hitting zone.

Is there much side to side leeway once the Eyexo is mounted? That is, if I mount the Eyexo dead center in the room, would I be able to shift my mat 1 ft to the right if needed? Less?

I think the hitting area is 18" x 18". My experience is that the club numbers can get a bit off if you're not hitting from the center of the hitting area. I put my unit on a linear rail so I could move the hitting area left and right of center.
