  • Uneekor QED - Premium Marked Balls

    Hello,

Has anyone been able to find or know somewhere I can get premium marked balls for the Uneekor QED? Carl's place has upgraded Bridgestone balls, however they are sold out at the moment. Does anyone have any experience with the Bridgestone balls from Carl's Place? Are they any good? Also, does anyone know of anywhere else I can get premium marked balls?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

A guy on the forum here used to sell Urethane Unicorns, but stopped a few months back. They were good for spin, but they were always 3-5mph slower than other balls. I also tried some from https://www.golfsimulator.shop/ . Those had better speed but because of the printed dot pattern, it seems like it sometimes drastically under-reads the backspin. The best way to describe it is that the dot pattern is printed across the equator of the ball but missing the set of dots on the north and south poles. Lately I've been using TP5x Pix balls. As long as i put the black triangle up it seems to accurately pick it up 9/10 times, with the one exception having the correct ball speed but too low backspin.

A premium ball is the only thing keeping the QED being a 10/10 unit. I'm amazed they haven't provided a good solution yet.

Probably fell by the wayside once EXO (and now the Mini) got going.

I use the unicorns, TP5x Pix and Callaway Truvis. They all work pretty good. Rarely any misreads.

For you guys that want a premium ball, I have an option for you to consider. The newest Pro V1 has a dark colored core that reads just fine with the QED cameras. I can mill the QED pattern on the ball and it will perform just like a Pro V1. These last a long time (probably about a month of heavy use) and read perfectly until the jacket finally cracks. I get lot's of positive feedback on them. The only downside that I know of is some folks think they can cause wear on your screen. I think this would only be an issue for a really nice, high quality screens. Certainly not an issue for the screen I use, and I have not seen what this looks like personally.

The new Pro V1's have been pretty difficult to get, and they are currently being portioned out to pro shops that have sales history. I was able to get a case of them the other day, so I have plenty right now. Just send me a PM on this site if you are interested. I don't have a business or anything, just trying to help out the QED community.

I just put my last unicorn into play this week, so I need to start thinking about this myself. There was another guy on the forum selling them around the same time the unicorns started up, but it doesn't look like he is around anymore either.

Yes, the original milled Pro V1's were prior to 2021 and required that the core be dyed. They were $100 per dozen and very time consuming to produce. He quit making them when the Unicorns came out as I recall.

I have been using the TP5x of late and very rarely get a miss read.

My ball of choice as well. They haven't been a problem for me.

Can you define misread and what your avg swing speed/rpm is with your driver?

I just picked up the Pix 2.0 but they have a maple leaf in the center of the triangle so its like a fill which I'm trying to figure out if that's what's affecting it, they don't work at all for me. Otherwise they only work accurately for people who's max swing speed is less than 95mph is my hypothesis.

I just make my own dot trio ball stickers. It's about 11 cents per ball. You essentially just need a printer. See details here.
Greetings Community, I wanted to share my process for making water slide decal "dot trio balls" for the Uneekor QED. I did this because I wanted to ensure that I would always have a source for stickers. This is the first post so I will be adding information as I refine my process and to update materials used, etc....

I tried the Pix balls for 9 holes the other night. I only had 3 misreads, but they were all wedges shots that carried over the green so thats not a viable option for me. I found an interesting Truvis design that I might give a shot.
