  • Taylormade TP5 Pix Spider pattern balls, not QED friendly. Any other options?

I've been using the 2021 Taylormade TP5 pix balls with the orange/black triangles with the QED for several months now and they work well most of the time. They probably get estimated spin 1 or 2 out of every 10 shots. I found some of the TP5s with the spider pattern and tried them out and unfortunately they were estimate spin on every shot. Just thought I'd pass that along to the group. I've heard people have had luck with the callaway truvis clubs or spades shapes, but i haven't been able to find any. Any one else find other balls that wok?

I think the milled Pro V1 is the best option (so far) for a premium ball. You can expect to get 2 weeks of life from a ball with heavy use (hitting everyday), which equates to 2 dozen per year. Most folks that play a lot probably get about 9-12 months out of a dozen.

All the performance of a Pro V1 and minimal (if any) spin errors. Certainly worth considering for folks that play the online tournaments. Screen wear was a concern, but so far it has not proven to be an issue. Zero feedback on screen wear so far. Zero chance of marking your screen (only the white ball jacket touches the screen).

Interesting that you get 2 weeks it of a milled ball when I'm lucky to get a couple hundred shots out of mine before they sharply lose ball speed or burst the cover open.

Think that's down to hitting it from the same side all the time because if the Flightscope dots?

The life is certainly tied to club head speed. You can practice with a wedge until the dimples are nearly shaved off, which equates to months for me. A driver in the hands of someone with good distance will wear them out (fracture the jacket) the quickest. These have 6 patterns of 3 dots and placed randomly.
