  • Any Regrets?

I currently have a Skytrack and I am looking to upgrade to the EYE XO. Trying to find first hand knowledge on it is scarce. So just looking for the people here that have purchased it if they have any regrets or issues. It seems to be the next bang for the buck for a permanent install.

    Thanks

I have an EYE XO and love it so far (6 months in). My brother-in-law and his sons play on my system and a friend of theirs that has a Trugolf system and say the EYE XO is much nicer and more accurate. There is a Facebook group for Uneekor products and I have seen many people mention upgrading from a Skytrack and have yet to see anyone say they regret it.

I've had my EYE XO for almost a year now and couldn't be happier. Was initially looking at the QED and got a recommendation to look at the XO, so glad they gave me that advice.

I upgraded from Skytak to the Uneekor QED two years ago. Best move I could have made! Love the QED. Only drawback is marked balls (can't do ball comparisons). That's not a big deal for me as I would much rather do that on the course anyway. I use Unicorn maked balls as they are softer and generate better spin. The QED is extemely accurate compared course play. If you want to spend a little more QED XO does not require marked balls.

The Unicorn ball is ok, but quite a step down from a Pro V1. I have milled a lot of Pro V1's for members on here and get very positive feedback. Just send me a direct message if you are interested.

I retired from Skytrak in October 2020 and went to QED. Absolutely positively no regrets. The hitting zone on QED is quite generous...larger than EyeXO. No more untimely inexplicable "no reads". Putting on QED is really good. The impact camera after each shot never gets old. I agree with 85brian that the only drawback is the marked balls, but I too use the Unicorns when I want to play high spin premium ball. That said I am considering upgrading to EyeXO for the advanced club data and the flexibility of using the same balls I play with.

Would you be interested in trying the milled Pro V1? Send me a message if you want to try them.

I went from SkyTrak to a QED about a year and a half ago and, as everyone above, I have ZERO regrets. The QED has superb accuracy and is super convenient. Looking forward to Uneekor’s new software Game Day

Everything with the EYE is great except for the wedges. The sensor doesnt capture many shots with the sandwedges due to a reflection issue. tried different wedges but the issue is still there. i would guess its about 50% of the time that i have this problem. mostly with the 60deg or if i lay open the club for more loft.

I have jet black wedges and have never had any issues with miss/non-reads.

I bought a black 60 degree wedge hearing that people were having issues and have had no misreads with it.

I have had Eye XO since its debut and it is the best for the money by far. I do recommend the camera upgrade for FO and DL view of your swing. I have a few videos on youtube that compare the EYEXO to my Quad and it is very close.

I upgraded from Skytrak to Eye XO and my only regret is not doing it sooner. Night and day difference.

Have had my EyeXO up and running for about 5 months now, overall it seems to be very accurate though for me it's been a bit of a trial and error process to get it dialed in. Here are some considerations:
                        • Mounting height is critical, I had mine at 10' 1 1/2" (vs. 10' max spec) and it struggled with spin on higher ball speed shots (for me, mostly driver). I moved it within spec and it got immediately better
                        • Missed reads are definitely a thing on higher lofted wedges but I found you can "fix" that problem by addressing the ball with the wedge 4-6 inches behind the ball. Someone above posted they have black wedges and have had no issues, that makes perfect sense
                        • I had an issue last week where View wasn't registering shots at all, I got an appointment with someone from Uneekor support and the dude was AMAZING. He fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes (it was a Windows update that blocked the program via the firewall). He also explained that my sometimes miscalculated spin on driver was caused by me using white tees. This was a complete surprise to me but he said to make sure to always use black tees as the white tees can confuse the cameras and under-calculate spin. In any case, the experience with support was just terrific. I got a much better feeling about being a Uneekor customer after talking with the support guy, he knew exactly how to address every issue I had
Overall, I've been very pleased... seems like the best priced accurate ceiling mounted launch monitor currently available. I'm sure you'll love the switch from the 3 second lag from shot hit to seeing it with skytrak to immediate ball flight and all the extra club/ball data!
