    Havasu Falls Golf Club

Hi everyone I have just released Havasu Falls, it did have a working title of Apache Falls but there was already a course of that name so hence Havasu Falls, I know I didn't design this course for Pro Tee but I have spent the last two weeks widening the fairways and redesigning four or five holes to try and help you out, it's still going to be a tough course but hopefully the changes I've made will help, I've also started shortening and widening my Royal Auchtermuren course to make it more Pro Tee Friendly which I should finish in about two weeks, many thanks Nigel

Hi Ironstrokes, it will be a little tough especially in the wind, but it would have taken too long to do every hole, I will Wien and shorten Royal Auchtermuren for you, many thanks for the feedback

Super appreciate all your hard work! I actually really like playing the tough and full length courses a lot too, but also know some of the sim crew like it a little bit shorter and more manageable and I do myself honestly sometimes. And luckily I usually play with the wind off when using the simulator, otherwise the challenge can become almost too much to even hold some of the slopey and quick greens on some of the courses out there.

Tried to play it last night and forgot that we on the sim side of things have to wait for the next update for the newly published courses on ps4 to be available to us. So sadly not able to give a review yet, but will give it a go once the next course sync happens.

Any news if Havasu falls is available on The sim, as I said before not designed for sim but the fairways should be wide enough for you, low wind is advisable

Just played a few rounds on this tonight and made it my first recorded round using shadowplay with my new webcam. Awesome course! Said it before, but like your design style a lot, just fits my eye right. It looks great and plays very fair I feel. It may seem a bit longer for some at 7200 yards but doesn't play that long at all honestly. There are plenty of the drives and a few of the par 3s are downhill quite a bit that help that. I highly recommend this course, especially if your drives are on. I played 2 rounds and fortunately I recorded the better one here. Shot a great 3 under 69. My scrambling was on. Did put myself in a few weird spots that I got out of quickly (even hit off the top of a big boulder on the one par 5 haha). Only one real terrible hole with a shank and all that led to a double on the 7th but made up for it with some great irons and made a few putts as well. I did play it again after and didn't shoot as well, but not terrible. Its fair but challenging at the same time.

There are a couple of small greens but they are only when you are hitting from like 160 yards and in on a few par 3s and maybe on one or two par 4s but again I was hitting wedges in on those as well, so completely within reason and fit the course quite well actually (check out the 18th hole where I stiffed the wedge on that smaller island green, that may have been more medium-small size though). Most of the greens are medium to big size other wise and very receptive to your shots. And honestly, a bunch of the courses weve played lately on tour had much tighter fairways than this course did, I think some of the pictures may have made it look tighter than it actually is. Great design enef56 and keep up the great work, consider me a subscriber to your courses for sure!

What follow camera view are you using in the game? And what is your delay timer set at. Seems you've found a pretty good combination of watching your ball sail out and then landing. I like it!

That was the most stressful round of golf to watch I've ever had, I felt every blow, and I even started clapping for the putt on 10, and an amazing shot to finish, I really felt your pain on a few holes, I thought you played brilliantly, you don't hang about do you, you play really fast, I'm glad it plays ok for you, it's not meant to be a really easy course you can master first off, but looking at your game you can score -6 easy, it's nice to know there is a good score available to pro tee users after the changes I made, I posted a Friday pins version tonight with different pins and lighting, I've also started ripping up the fairways on Royal Auchtermuren it should be out shortly, I'm currently working on a desert course, there aren't many good desert courses out there. Would you mind if I posted a link of your round on the other forums to show how it plays, thanks Nigel

Absolutely, you can post the round anywhere you like! I was definitely proud of that one! That's awesome hearing you living out the round the same way I felt playing it haha, it's an awesome course. And yea, a desert course would be sweet, interested in seeing what you do with that type of terrain.

Look forward to giving royal auchtermuren another go when you update that as well. I've played it a couple of times now in the original version and really liked it.

Gonna have to play the Friday pins version of havasu falls. Just loved some of the risk reward shots that were placed around the course. And the second time I played it I actually hit the green in one on the 3rd! Did end up shooting 3 over overall for the round but still was happy with that score, just didn't make any putts. Like how some of the par 5s down slope to the green as well, gave me a little extra hope to get it there in 2 even if I hit a little bit of an off drive and it wasn't over done either, perfect mix of challenge and giving you a reasonable shot at it without just handing it to you. Keep up the great work

Haha thanks. I might be able to squeeze out a few more yards even too if I get my laugh angle down. Hitting an 8.5 degree driver and still launching at 20 degrees a lot of the time. If it's going straight and still that far, damn sure I'm not gonna worry about that too much though haha

Well, I played this course and have to say Ironstrokes made it look easy but it's not. He bombs the ball and pretty straight too, for us mere mortals the course challenges both length and accuracy. But I had no complaints at all, I found it very playable and fair. With many interesting decisions to make. And the detail and creativity on this course is amazing.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to think like a painter and make sure each view leads the eye through the image and includes a strong, satisfying resting spot. At times the view was interrupted by features that prevented the eye from achieving this. So I felt it had a tendency to feel cluttered and without a strong resting spot lacked that satisfying feel of a great painting. Hope that doesn't offend, I thought it was a great track! Clearly you have a lot of talent and imagination! Looking forward to seeing more. With your skills and attention to detail I'd be very interested in any RCR's you've done. Unfortunately when courses get ported over to the Protee server they seem to lose the original designer information so we can't just click and see what else you've created (at least I couldn't maybe I'm doing something wrong...). Anyway maybe list your courses in your signature so we can easily find the others and keep track of what you're doing.

Thanks a lot for making the effort to tailor your courses for us Protee Sim players! I'll definitely play Royal auchtemuren when you finish updating it!
