  • Pro Tee /Skytrak

I feel I'm driving myself nuts trying to make this decision. I've searched up and down these forums and read a ton of reviews but still cannot decide between these two.

Any additional input anyone could give to help sway my decision?

I really wish there was somewhere I could go and test both.

    Here are my current thoughts.

Protee is a one time purchase and appears to have pretty great support. The setup is a concern but I am using a permanent space and only right handed golfers.

Skytrak allowing me to hit off of any mat I want is nice. The yearly fee concerns me considering they can jack it up at any time. Any chance they ever move away from this model?

I plan on getting TGC so the initial price is comparable.

Anyone have both and prefer one one over the other?

I know this thread has been done a million times and apologize!

You can also boil it down to whether club information is more important to you or ball spin info.

If you are a high handicapper then club info is more useful. You get info about your swing direction and the club head alignment. Usually those are the things that lesser golfers struggle with. ProTee gives club direction and clubhead angle info (and also provides calculated spin, distance and shot shape).

Skytrak will give you ball spin information and provide calculated distance and shot shape. Better golfers know what they are doing with their club to generate the spin that SkyTrak is measuring and thus SkyTrak is a better choice for low handicappers.
