  • GCQuad vs Trackman comparison video - Indoor questions

Watching this video raises questions for me as to if I'm doing myself a disservice taking lessons and training indoors on a Trackman 4. Up to this point I've used the Trackman numbers as gospel and shouldn't be challenged. I've been told it won't show a shot if it isn't sure of it and I've seen that in practice as on a TM3 5% of my shots don't register and less than that on a TM4. I recently bought a GCQuad and have barely used it to this point because I don't have a home setup yet as I'm looking to build something out. I have done some basic testing with the TM4 as a comparison but not nearly as extensive as this test.

I'm fine with slight differences as there are many assumptions these systems have to make but something as simple as ball flight should always be the same for two high end devices. In this video I see the TM4 showing a fade when the GCQuad shows a draw. That greatly concerns me as one of them is definitely wrong. I plan on doing more testing on the next couple weeks with a member on here that has a TM4. Anyone else have concerns with a TM4 for indoor use?

People tend to get biased if they get sponsored or own the product. I own both so less likely to be biased on one unless i get a hefty discount or get a free unit.

The guy testing in OP’s video took a photo with Foresight executive which to me says a lot (link doesnt work here so I couldnt post it). I can’t find him taking a photo with Trackman. I do want to know any truth behind the scene though.

I will publicize my final TM vs GC debate this month. All I can say right now is he is half right and half wrong. Iron GC is wrong and Driver TM is wrong.

    Tune in for more soon.

Just when I was about to finalize the posting about GC2 vs TM4, I finally got my hands on GC Quad and will be able to test the unit out both indoor and outdoor. I've heard nothing but good things about GC Quad accuracy so it'll be an interesting one especially since I've never done an outdoor testing with GC Quad.

Is everyone ok waiting for 1-2 more weeks so I can add on my GC vs TM testing if GC Quad shows difference otherwise? People say GC2 and GCQ should perform similar and I think so too based on indoor result, but if people are willing to wait I will add an outdoor testing with GC Quad as well.

Leo, I think move forward as you prefer as I suspect you would rather not put your reports together twice. This info will be for everyone’s benefit and likely takes a bit of your time to do. Thus, my reason for saying what ever is best for you.

          Cheers!
