If you had 15-20k to burn and were tasked with putting together a beautiful simulator room (DIY is out of the question) for a club, would you either:

(1) Hire a sim consultant to put together a beautiful custom studio utilizing a Skytrak or Protee with a Putting Green (potential to one day upgrade to a GC2)

(2) Stretch the dollars and buy a Fullswing S2, with likely no money for the putting green

Honestly, the hardest thing most of us face is dealing with the space that we have....it is what it is.

So, if you have a nice room with plenty of size and ceiling height, your off to a great start.

I am keying off your words' "beautiful simulator room", that means different things to different people. If you do not have the creative vision for the room, then you need to hire a designer, take a survey, get input, etc. The actual construction, etc is not that hard. If you are not a DIY'er, then really any decent handyman or contractor can do it.

If aesthetics are key, then I would allocate 10k for system (computer, software, projector, screen, etc.) and 10k for the room (putting green, tables, viewing chairs, paint, trim, etc.)

Now if accuracy and technology are the most important, then go 15k on system and 5k on aesthetics.

I would really get input from the club as to their expectations....(I would assume because it was for a club that ability for right/left players would be important and also you would want something very user friendly)

If you have the knowledge and skill doing it your self is a money saver, but having someone else with the knowledge, skills, and talent do it can be a life saver. I have found choice of materials and equipment are a big factor and if nothing else consulting with someone who does it for a living would be the way to go. Just remember sales personal are there to make a sale, make sure you talk to someone that can tell you what you need for what you want to do.
