Looking for simulators for new business

Wow, I went many days without a response and now a ton. Thank you guys so much for your time.

I have a bar and deli deli that is fairly profitable and has good food and good specials. It is in downtown olathe Kansas where the county is building a new courthouse across the street and the city is putting a lot of time and money into revitalization of the downtown area. This is the a rather rich county. There is disposable income here.

I've had Dub V's Bar & Deli for 5 1/2 years. The space next door to mine is perfect for 4 simulators and maybe a rec room with a projector and space for many to congregate for a game or video games. And a room for a masseuse!!! The two entities would be connected by one door for guests and one for staff.

Payroll would only add a couple thousand to my existing payroll.

I'm not interested in Frankensteining launch monitor with software with screen with computer with matt with who knows what. I want an all in one. I have a couple guys that will do most of the build out. Not paying a sim company and get over charged.

Im a dad to a teenage boy. Multi sport games Will bring birthday parties in. Boys will kill to get together on a Friday night, or any weeknight in the summer to play dodgeball or field goal kicking .....plus golf.

My budget is for 35-50k PER simulator. I don't want some cheap ass BS like Igor wants to pedal on this site. Johnson Countians will expect a high quality experience. Even if they aren't scratch golfers.

A couple of of sim makers have offered as much as 25% off if I buy 4, so that brings investment way down.

Seems to me that HD Golf is the best looking and they claim it is incredibly easy to use.

I like Full Swing, Swingtrack, and TruGolf too, but on my computer screen toheylook a bit too much like golden tee quality of graphics. Love the look of aboutgolf, but that is a bit pricey.

For the money you are about to drop...... I would drive to play in person Full Swing, swing track and tru golf in person.

then find someone near you that has a gc2 with FSX, TGC, PG and E6.

Compare the results. In my opinion, if you are a picky golfer you would like all 4 pieces of software with the gc2 over full swing and there other simulators. Just my opinion though. With the money you are spending you can even hop on a plane and it would be cheaper than buying the wrong system.

Your local big box golf shop likely uses Gc2s. They are used by fitters to sell the correct clubs to golfers.

If you were in Califonia I would let you try mine. I think you would be very surprised the results.

You will be hard pressed to make back your investment if you are dropping 40k per sim.

I can understand someone wants an high end simulator. But, same way as Igor, I cant understand how in the business plan you can get profit with this kind of investment. 200k for 4 bays, it will take years and years to payback (time to change hardware before ...). Anyway, wish you luck in your project !

Wow. I didn't know this was a business school. Everyone has all the answers except what I'm asking is about SIMULATORS!!!
Real easy folks, I get a loan, pay it off over 6-7 years like my previous loan for the bar (will be paid off in a year). Rent is cheap, hardly any expenses that might be hidden like in the restaurant game. The county I live in is richest in Kansas. Now can someone talk about simulators they've played?

Most commercial sim places have gone out of business. Spending 150k-200k and taking out a 7-year loan on sims that will be antiquated in 2-4 years is not the best of ideas.

The number of people who drop 50k on a home simulator is pretty small. Pretty much everyone on this forum plays TGC because they run the forum. Jnpg is the other reasonably priced option for personal use. For home setups you either get a mat system like protee or a launch monitor like skytrak or GC2. When you come to a forum and basically say that everyone's simulator (that many of us saved up for and are proud of) is cheap garbage and then ignore people's observations that they have seen lots of simulator businesses fail, the thread is going to either get hostile or go quiet.

if you want to try a 50k simulator you should go check out one of the many thriving simulator businesses in your wealthy county or the surrounding areas. Where the rest of us live there aren't too many of those or else we wouldn't be building our own. The 10k or more that we spend would buy a lot of hours at a commercial place.

You are on a forum where most are using tgc and most have created their own setups for personal use. There is a jnpg forum as well. There's a lot of info here about protee, skytrak and gc2 but not much on the others. If I were dropping 40k on a sim, I would go try them myself. You're not going to make the decision based on what some random strangers on some web forum say anyways.
