    Christmas coming : SkyTrak or used GC2 ?

    Hello

    I could not find the answer to my question, so I am asking it here. Let me if I missed it.

    Basically, I am looking to buy a radar but I hesitate between the GC2 and the Skytrak due to the following:
    - it will be mostly for range usage, so I suppose that GC2 may be a better fit. But is it ? I am an 11 index and I'm working on a training program with my coach to take this down, so it will be an additional tool
    - while Skytrak app seems pretty rich in terms of features (ball data, games & challenges), I'm not quite sure what a GC2 provides in terms of app expericence
    - robustness : any comparison between the two

    I know the price difference, but I believe I can afford the GC2, and by doing so I keep the possibility of upgrading it with the HMT extension. I don't know if I will though...

    What do you guys recommend given the above ?

      Skytrack software is great
      unit is ok
      i own one and have hit on others in more pro set ups


      ive hit on a lot of other sims in pro studios and prefer
      gc2
      uneekor
      trackman
      and a few others

      my opinion is gc2 if that’s your only option
      the uneekor unit is very good and if I had the space the unit I’d buy

          It’s money question. If the cost of the GC2 doesn’t make you sweat, it’s an absolute no brainer. Uneekor, TM4 and GC Hawk should also be looked at. The biggest issue with Skytrak and GC2 is it a one handed set up. Playing left and right sucks. These 3 solutions get expensive and none were around when GC2 and Skytrak came out.

              I was originally going to go with a ST. An indoor sim recently opened down the street and I've played it twice. Each time I went, there were dramatic differences in carry and total distance. Lots of misreads as well...thinking of just spending the extra money up front at this point.

                I looked at Skytrak years ago long before it was even on the market. I held it in one hand and held a GC2 in the other hand and laughed. There is absolutely no comparison.

                Even the wizard doesn't need to be a wizard to get this one correct. GC2 its worth the money and you will end up with something different than skytrak eventually so save yourself the hassle and go all in on a used GC2. You shouldn't have any regrets. Portable and works great outdoors too.

                    I don't have the room for an indoor simulator, and at best I would play on my balcony when at home (it's big enough no problem, but it's outdoor). Most of its use would be at the driving range, so the outdoor use is an absolute must for me. I guess that GC2 it is

                        In terms of range and robustness it’s GC2 hands down.
