Hello everyone from Spain!
I am thinking on getting one launch monitor and as many other, really wondering what is the best option between Mevo+ and Skytrak. I was almost convinved by the Mevo standard or by the voice caddie SC300, but the fact that cannot measure horizontally and not having the simulator makes me think that better to spend more and be convinced.
My set up is basically in my backyard to hit to a practise net, I have space in all sides, an normally I am hittin 2-3 meters away from the net. Eventually during winter I might try to build it in the garage (not a need as in Winter we have also pretty sunny days). I would have not a problem to put the stickers in balls, because basically I am always practising with the same 20-30 balls
Some of my priorities are:
- Reliable measures for carry, height and direction (I can accept not 100 % accuracy as we are talking that there are other options which cost 5 or 10x more). I am a beginner therefore I am interested into really where I have hit the ball, if it was straight, slice or draw...I have also a Zepp 2, so I can combine it and get data from my swing to improve
- Easy set up, I have two kids (3y and 10 mo) and need to profit from every second I have
- Easy and fast to get: in Europe now under the Covid situation there is no chance (at least I didn't found it) to get one or the other, Skytrak seems to be available during May, and Mevo+ in June/July, if the Mevo+ is the best choice then I would wait.
- The recurrent (and high) fees on the Skytrak to get the simulator options is something I don't like at all.
- Price / value relation, Skytrak + simulator fees + case seems to be too high for me compared to Mevo+ offering similar solutions at lower price
- Simulator is ok for me, but don't need docens or hundreds of courses, with the ones offered by Mevo+ it is enough to have some fun as my main interest is to simulate as in practise range
I tend to believe that mevo+ is my product, but just would like to be sure from you guys with more experience.
Thanks in advance,
