Looking for recommendations - need a simulator that will work in my house

I am building a house with a 13 1/2 x 12 foot room with 12 foot ceilings and was wondering if I could put a golf simulator in it and any recommendations as to what system might work. Thank you

Yep you sure can. Just no unit that goes behind the ball. SkyTrak, CG2, Uneeklr, etc are all fair game.

$8k-10k for just the launch monitor or everything (impact screen, hitting mat, projector, computer, sim software)?

Should be no issue to stay within that budget and get a very nice setup. The space is tight though.

10k is plenty to have a nice setup. Some very basic cost breakdowns of the most fundamental parts =

              -- High-powered computer = $1,000 - $1,500
              -- Good projector = $500 - $1,000
              -- Good mat = $250 - $500
              -- Impact screen = $250 - $600
              -- Software = $1,000 (for TGC lifetime)
              --Enclosure = $200 - $500

That puts you somewhere between 3-5k with the only major purchase left being the launch monitor. Skytrak and Mevo+ are each $2,000. But you would have some room to upgrade and still stay within your budget.

As a side note, 13.5 feet in length is pretty short so make sure you make the most of every inch in that space.

thats a shallow room. I am running at around 15 feet right now (using Skytrak) and have about 7 feet to my screen and 8 feet to my wall (garage door) It feels tight for me and I can't wait to get my new Garage door installed so I can run at the full 20 Feet.

Just an observation and comment from someone swinging in a shallow space. I also run my projector all the way to the back of the room

Depends entirely on which projector you buy. Figuring that you will probably only be about 7 feet from your screen, get a short throw projector that you can mount 7 feet or closer while maximizing your screen size.

Get a GC2 with your setup and don’t look back. Buy once cry once! Haha

Should be lots of experience on the forum and I believe there are a few threads that you could look at. Seems like a very good monitor. Apart from some connectivity issues seems to work well. Hopefully, they can resolve the small issues pretty easily.

Yes, you can definitely put a simulator in that room! You would need to use a camera-based launch monitor because your room isn't deep enough to allow a radar based launch monitor to read properly. I would want to ask you more questions about your goals for your simulator room before making any recommendations beyond that. You can reach out to us at info@par2pro.com if you'd like to talk to a specialist about your simulator room.
